After scheduling a series where the episodes run every day or so the Humax has a habit of recording the first episode in the series and then scheduling the next recording for the next-but-one (or even later) episode. So we can end up with episodes 1,3,6 out of a 6 episode series.

It's definitely scheduling the next episode too far ahead as I've caught it a number of times just before it's about to miss an episode.

This didn't happen prior to version .23 of the firmware.

Just wondering if this issue has come up with other members or am I the only one? It's getting very annoying - especially as many of our childrens' TV series run every day.

I'm tempted to revert back to .21 and live with the slowness.

Could it be that the series you are recording is actually two different series? I've had this with Family Guy and ended up with two Series Link entries in the recording schedule to pick up every programme.

It's definitely not an issue with the series link as deleting the scheduled item and re-creating it against the next episode is usually enough to record both the next episode and then subsequent episodes. Channel4 News seems to be the one we notice it happening to the most (probably because it's daily). So the news records for a few evenings and then stops. When I check the schedule it's scheduled for next week(!)

If no-one else has this issue I'm thinking of maybe resetting to defaults to see if that cures it (it happens quite often so I'm sure if other people had this issue you would have heard about it before now).

Out of interest does a reset to defaults clear out the saved EPG etc? Or is there something else I need to do to *really* reset it back to factory state?
