Nothing set in stone at the moment. Developers have a rough version of the new software to play with but it could be another month away before we get our hands on it.
I don't understand what you mean about your iPhone going into 'recovery mode'. I have had every version of the iPhone and its never randomly gone into recovery mode unless I have done it myself on purpose (it's pretty much impossible to do by accident). Your phone will operate perfectly on the old software for as long as you want it to. Apple don't force you to update. |

Connecting to iTunes on a weekly bases is just common sense. It backs up all your files keeps your phones contents up to date. This had nothing to do with your phone going into recovery mode, my brother didint back his phone up for a year (honestly) and his phone still worked as well as the day he bought it. I finally forced him to do it and it took about 15 minutes for his phone to transfer all the data he had stored on the phone back to his computer he had so much on it. I would back mine up a few times a week.
IPhones only enter recovery mode if there is (a) a problem with the phone or (b) you put the phone in recovery mode on purpose. If it happens regularaly then I would get it checked out by Apple. |

If your phone was (in your opinion) faulty then the Genius in the Apple Store should have ran a diagnostic check on it and replaced it FOC if they found a fault.
Seeing as they did not replace it then it must mean they found no fault. I take it you did it properly and booked an appointment at the Genius Bar and didn't just walk in of the street and get a sales person to have a quick look? |
