Hi Guys

Now, i love my iPhone 4, but my contract is coming up with O2 (Well.....June)

but, if the iPhone 5 isnt much of an upgrade or i still fancy a change, and get......say an android or WP7 how easy is it to transfer my music all purchased from iTunes?

Thanks

It is easy with Android. Just copy everything to the memory card. There are third party apps like DoubleTwist that will sync with iTunes and Android, I think they cost a small fee but work well. They will only work if they are DRM free tracks. Most music should be.

Not sure about WP7.

Salling Media Sync is an excellent piece of software (available for Windows and Mac) which syncs iTunes music, podcasts and photos with your Android device!

(It doesn't work with DRM protected music however).

IIRC you right click a song in iTunes and then click on properties. There should be a bit labelled Protection. See if there is any.

Near enough everything purchased from the iTunes store is DRM free these days. So I shouldn't worry too much.

If you go into your My Music folder (Or something) there should be a folder called "iTunes" go in that then into "iTunes Media" I can't remember if there's a music folder there or not, but you should see all of the artists you have in your iTunes library. Just copy and paste the folders onto your Android phone's memory stick under the Music folder (Or however Android handles it)

With WP7, or rather Zune (Microsoft's version of iTunes) it should just pick up everything that's in your My Music folder. So basically it'll either just appear on your phone, or you highlight all of them and drag it to the device icon in the bottom left.
