Anyone else think he looked really angry when his scores were being given as if he was trying to control himself from losing his temper?
Brianne looked annoyed to a lesser extent.im wondering if this guy thinks he has the God given right to win..do you think he was maybe expecting a 10.0 for doing the headbanger?

I dont dislike him by the way just throwing it out there that i thought he looked really put out.

His face definately tightened during one judge's comment. But he's young, taking criticism isn't easy, something we all have to learn.

Laura has overhauled him. He is now behind, and Laura is getting so good he may not be able to catch up. Each week she improves on very high standards. Sam has stood still and is treading water.

I think he looked slightly annoyed that he wasn't top.

I think that he was expecting to be top again. Nothing wrong with that. But he needs to concerntrate on improving and not just assume that hes the one to beat.

I'd use the word miffed. I guess he'll channel this energy into next weeks performance.

im pretty sure he expected higher marks than that and in a way i dont blame him for feeling miffed...the judges favouritsm toward Laura is slightly nauseating.

They used to favour him. Now they favour Laura, because now she is BETTER !!

Blinkers on! One judge maybe favours Laura, but who could blame Jason and they all gave her the same mark. I'd say the gap between Sam and Laura is pretty small and who that gap favours is open to debate.

Elbowbanger you mean. Brianne was in no danger of hitting her head on the ice because she had to keep putting her arm down for protection. The routine was sloppy and out of time.

As most of the marks was going on their skills it was a bit pointless doing the headbanger this week. It wasn't done very well as he travelled across the ice instead of staying on one spot and she wanted out of it because she knew it wasn't right.

He should have done better steps, jumps and spins and got better marks. The headbanger should have been kept for another week when he needs a special move.

He's kind of peaked too early.

true..i did agree with the panel that hes quite a selfish performer..he needs to skate with Brianne more.contrary to what they would have us believe i see no sexual tension between them at all.let alone that they would have us believe their riding the hobby horse for England.

He probably thought by doing the headbanger everyone would be so bowled over that they would give him top marks - wrong!!!

Sam's facial expression certainly changed during judges comments. I'm not an expert in mind reading so could not possibly say what he was feeling? Must say that I'm secretly happy that Laura is now beating his score. It's less of a one horse race.

Well I used to like him but I think he is the pitts now! His "romance" with Brianne was awful and to keep saying he had a relationship with her but it is now over yet they lied about it to keep the story going only makes the situaiton worse. Can anyone believe that Sam and Brianne had a "relationship" were mad about each other, did various interviews and photo shoots etc., and then only days later she calmly smokes a ciggies as he flirts and kisses another skater!! Not only is he insulting the public but he is downright STUPID too!! Why was he so desperate to get votes that he made up a romance!!????? He can skate.

Apparently she was putting her arm down to basically know where the ice is!!!!! She knew how close she was and could hold her head accordingly but she didn't feel comfortable with the sequence.

Yes, his expresion did change, but he must feel a lot of pressure, having to try and stay at the top? I didn't particulary like his routine and the judges comments were fair. I prefer watching Laura and Colin skate or Vanilla and Katie.

As I've said before the contestants need to concentrate on being the best they can be rather than having an unhealthy fixation with the top of the leaderboard. The fact that he has mentionned it in so many of his VTs makes me think that he presumed he would always be the best. If he'd said I just want to be the best I can be, people may have warmed to him a bit more. Still I think we'll see him suggesting that he wants to regain 'his' place on the top of the leaderboard in the VTs on Sunday, although I would welcome it if I was proved wrong.

Agree with this. The first time I saw him he was talking about wanting to be better than Chris Fountain & Ray Quinn. I didn't like the way that came over.

It sounds cruel but hes starting to reek of desperation..but whether the armchair viewer will pick up on it is another thing.

I've gone off him quite a bit, especially since his fake romance. I think it's great that Laura is so good as I think he was convinced that he was going to win from the start and now it's good to see that there just isn't any guarantee any more. Laura is good and I think Chloe is also quite capable of being right up there at the end. It's turning out to be a much better competition than I thought it would be and makes much better viewing. I think he is in real danger of losing support if he keeps trying to do things just to impress as the girls are catching him up fast
