I think they may reveal soon. Izzy went away on maternity leave and was gone for a year. I am sure some of that was choice to be with her child rather than storyline dictated.

Does anyone else think that the dates have deliberately been put backwards to make Scott come back 'a year' to the day he raped Macs? Macs said last week that it had been a year since he and Sioned got engaged, which was wrong.

I don't think the reveal is soon. And I don't think Yvonne leaves because of it. They are setting up an Yvonne/Monks custody fight, and they had Jinx find out for a reason. I reckon the spoiler regarding Gwyneth will go on for a while. And she will be tortured for weeks or even months. I think this storyline is soon going to the backburner while other storylines like Scott take over.

Yes I do. That was probably due to the actor availability.

Scott will probably go on all summer. The rape story was the big summer story all last year. It will over shadow everything else if they are planning to do a repeat of last year.

I'm finding it difficult! I'm just so glad they are re-visiting the storyline. This was the reason I stared watching the show.

Exactly. I think the Scott stuff will run for a few months so there isn't the time for the massive fire reveal. That is going to be huge when it happens as the fall out will hit a lot of characters. Which is why I think the actress who plays Yvonne having maternity leave around this time could work, it's a shame she'll have to miss most of her family's drama. But her absense could be written in. Infact she doesn't even need to leave the villiage, they could backburn Gwyneth and have Yvonne do a Lois and just not be onscreen for weeks. Then pick up the fire storyline once the actress is back and the Scott stuff is resolved.

I wish the actress wasn't pregnant because she could have been heavily involved in the Izzy stuff. And it would have been nice to see her get a storyline that didn't revolve around Gwyneth.

I think it gets resolved in September. Especially if you are right about the anniversary dates. They are going to do this as the big storyline for the summer.

However, does anyone else think Macs and Sioned are getting on too well? This is soap. I could see Scott making someone who is close to Macs doubt him in some way...

Does Sioned know what happened with Izzy? Sioned is very unstable but Macs did stand by her when she did the unthinkable. I don't know, but I think anyone who saw Macs last summer would have to conclude something very traumatic happened.

I am wondering if Scott threatens to harm Macs again or possibly harm Sioned. He did that with Iolo.

Also Sioned has no place to go right now. If she left Macs where would she be. Her mental state is a big question too. I can see Sioned imploding if she thought she was going to lose Macs. She isn't the same girl who dumped Scott. Too much has happened.

Gaynor is the big question in my mind. If Gaynor doesn't believe Macs, then Scott can carry on with Izzy and terrorize half the village.

She has, but on a self interested level breaking up with Macs won't change the situation with Eileen or Marian. So she wouldn't have a place to live. Scott is not taking her back. Does she have money right now?

I think her only option is Macs.

I am watching Gaynor and Colin. Remember what Macs did to Izzy. I think those two are going to be the problem, if they side with Scott. Gaynor is much more influential than Sioned is. If Gaynor sides with Scott Hwyel sides with Scott. Hwyel has the radio station and public opinion.

The most effective thing about last years rape storyline was that it was a more realistic storyline. Some of the characters especially Sioned were really made more "normal" for the story. It wouldn't have worked as well otherwise, because the situation is so dramatic adding to it would have made it just less effective.

That's why I think for at least the Summer we won't see Britt getting too involved with Gwyneth. It would be really easy to go over the top if you mixed the rape and the fire stoylines too much.

Thanks I knew they had a son but wasn't sure if it was Darren. So Dwayne who died he was just Anita's?

Shame the BBC dont update the webpage to have character historys, as I know they used to as I saw some on webarchive site.

Would be nice to read up on PYC, It's same with other regional Soaps like Ros na Run & Fair City.
