Disappearing scheduled recordings
Night Watchman

Maybe this has already been discussed but I have noticed several times over the last few months that when I have been in non-Freesat mode on my Humax PVR and have added/deleted channels, when I go back to Freesat mode some (but not all) already programmed recordings have disappeared from the Schedule. Strangely it seems to be specific to BBC 3 (although other stations may be effected). I had it again yesterday when 4 episodes of Family Guy that I had set to record on the 24th and 25th had disappeared - luckily I noticed it in time so no harm done and I re-scheduled them. Anyone else had the same problem?
PS the recordings were not set with a 'series' link but as individual recordings.

I have seen this when leaving the box recording in non-FS mode.. and finding scheduled FS recordings gone.
I never managed to work out which schedules disappeared, but thought it was probably recently added ones, that had not been "saved" by going into standby.
Just a guess though...
so now I don't use non-FS mode.

So far I haven't recorded in non-Freesat mode and I don't leave it in this mode and always go back to Freesat mode before going into standby so I don't think this could be the reason. I remember there was an issue before when ITV HD programmes disappeared from the schedule after a re-scan in Freesat mode but that was fixed in the November 2009 software update.

Not seen this but could it be related to part time transmission channels like BBC3 ?.

As already said ITV-HD schedules did use to disappear not just after a non-freesat channel scan but also if you did any sort of edits in non-freesat eg move or rename channels

That's an interesting idea GT - could be that I programmed the recordings during CBBC transmission hours and was messing around in non-Freesat mode in BBC 3's transmission hours. Who knows - I just wish it wouldn't do it. I'll be cursing if I miss something important.

Need to do some messing to see if it's repeatable.

Yes it did it again today - lost 4 scheduled Family Guy recordings on BBC 3. I was in non-Freesat mode and did several housekeeping things including adding new channels, deleting channels, sorting channels and renaming channels so I am not yet sure what causes the problem (maybe it was Stewie!). Came back to Freesat mode and the 4 recordings had disappeared from the schedule.
Will drop a line to Humax about it.

Looks like my theory was just that ()
