Im looking to get a blackberry on o2 pay as you go as I don't wanna be tied up to a contract.

Anyways my question involves the internet on blackberry. I understand to access it you need to pay £5 extra for the blackberry bolt on.

I am currently on simplicity paying £15 for 100 mins, unlimited texts and internet. So would I be able to just add the bolt on to this meaning I would be paying £20 a month in total and be able to use all the blackberry sevices?

No, you wouldn't be able to use Simplicity any more. You'd have to switch to Text & Web For Blackberry, as this is the only tariff O2 do for Pay & Go Blackberry users.

See bottom tariff on this page http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/Pay_and_Go/sim-only

Cool thanks for the help. One last question .

Do you know how long it would take to change tariffs? Like if I changed from o2 simplicity to Blackberry text and web, would it change me over straight away or would I have to wait until my anniversary date of my current simplicity tariff before it changed?

You can switch to simplicity for blackberry which costs £20.43 for a rolling 1 month contract that includes 300 mins/text/500mb data.

I'd advise against the o2 text and web unless you make less than 50 mins of calls.

However vodfone have a £15 12 month contract which with the help quidco brings it down to something like £9 a month.

I know you want payg o2, but just giving other options.

Cheers will take a look into them, will probs stick with payg as I only make about 30 mins calls a month anyways, not a big talker on the phone

You can still access the internet of course, via your home wi-fi connection - it's just that things like the FB/Twitter apps don't work directly - although of course you can just still access these and set up a favourites menu icon for them.... Oh - and if you want to use BB Messenger, yes, you've got to have the bolt on....

I wasn't interested in this, so on my PAYG BB 9780, I just use the internet via my home wi-fi, I can still use App world and download apps etc.. and just pay £5 per month for unlimited texts...

Not true, you can either add the Pay and Go Blackberry Bolt-on at £5 (to your existing tariff) or change to the Blackberry Text and Web Tariff.

So I would be able to drop to the simplicity tarrif of 100 mins and unlimited texts for £10 and add the blackberry bolt on so I still only need to pay £15 a month?
