The program guide on CBS Action has vanished. I've had to set up deep space nine now as a manual record. I did hear that it had changed frequencies. I've retuned and still can't get the program guide.

It did change frequencies - oddly enough, the guide was fine (but obviously not the channel itself) before I rescanned, but after the rescan it just cocked up. I had to manually schedule DS9, as well

My foxsat is showing an empty EPG as well after the retune , but looking on the bright side at least the channel can be viewed (and a manual recording set).

The HTPC (Win 7 MC with hauppauge tuners ) is not quite so happy. Despite a retune, CBS Action is not longer viewable - after a long period of blank screen it then pops up "no signal".
Its never given any problems before with transponder changes, so there must be something amiss somewhere ...

That must be why my "Kung Fu - Legend Continues" has failed to record the last two days.

Yes, "Reason Unknown"

On the foxsat, there is no EPG info for Vintage TV either - this being the other frequency move yesterday. Looks like he/she who is in charge of the Freesat EPG hasn't updated the channel movements yet ...

I have left messages this morning on both freesat and cbs action via the websites. Lets hope that this gets their attention.

Incidentally, on the Humax there appears no way to make a non-epg timed recording, just a start it and let it run option, unless someone know better?

Same problem here, to make manual recordings press schedule and scroll to the blank entry at the end. Press yellow fill in the details including the repeat pattern. Job done

Hi

thanks for that, bet its in the manual somewhere!!

The epg appears to be back now, cannot quite see why it took them so long to realise the problem.

Curious, when they change frequency, do they transmit on the old and new transponder for a while?

I leave my set off over night (well standby), bit surprised this sort of reconfiguration isn't fully automatic.

From CBS Action

Retuning your box should have fixed this problem. This is not something we can fix for you here, so if the problem still persists please contact Freesat directly.

Kind regards
CBS Action
(note i informed cbs action that a retune did not solve the issue, obviously a reading problem!!)

From Freesat

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. There is an issue with the broadcast of the EPG information on CBS Action and we are working with CBS to get this fixed as soon as possible.

Many Thanks,
The freesat team

Looks like CBS action listened and the EPG is back on, thanks to everyone involved. It was back on when I turned my Humax on this afternoon. The easiest way I found to make a manual recording is to go to a program on the above channel on the EPG which starts at the same time. Set it up on your schedule to record it, then press the yellow button to edit it. You then just have to change the channel to CBS action.

I wonder - can anyone verify whether or not the bitrate went up? Today's recording of DS9 was about 200MiB bigger than usual, which is a good sign, but it may be another reason (it took them longer to broadcast the "programme ended" flag or something, maybe, so the recording could be over a longer time period...)
