Extended over night house keeping?
Anyone ever had the HDR's overnight 3AM house keeping take half an hour?
I woke just before 3:30 last night and the HDR was in standby (red led lit) with the display and clock showing. I could not hear any activity coming from the box but by the time I had got back from the toilet the box had gone into full standby. Anyone any ideas? Nothing was scheduled to record at that time and thumbnails are on yesterdays recordings so house keeping definitely happened.

I have noticed the Foxsat coming on spuriously on several occasions (pre midnight).
I've thought: What the hell is that doing on; I've nothing set to record tonight? I've even turned it on a couple of times to see what it's up to but nothing was or had been recording for hours and there was nothing in the schedule.

As far as I'm aware, it does:
* EPG update (and doesn't always get all of it) * Thumbnails for new recordings. * Looks for a software update. |
