Voting has finally finished for the final vote, and it was incredibly close with just 2 points seperating 1st and 2nd Place. 60. Asha Alahan

Starting the countdown is Dev and Sunita's daughter Asha Alahan. In 2010 Asha was taken into social care along with brother Aadi after they suspected Sunita and Dev were abusing them, They came back home after Sunita and Dev were found innocent. So far in 2011 I don't think she's appeared yet so not suprised she's this low

Next up is Becky McDonald's niece Max. I find Max really cute but he's not very important so not suprised he's this low. In 2010 he was the centre of mum and aunt Becky and Kylie's row, until towards the end Becky bought Max of Kylie as Becky cannot concieve and Kylie did not want Max. In 2011 we have seen him bond with Becky and Steve, as Tracy Barlow threatened to tell social services that Becky bought him

58.Aadi Alahan

Next Up is Asha's twin sister Aadi. Like Asha, Aadi was taken into care after it was suspected Dev and Sunita were abusing him. It was later revealed that Simon Barlow pushed Aadi during a game, which resulted in him getting hurt and Dev and Sunita were found innocent and Aadi and Asha went back to them. Like Asha, I don't think Aadi has appeared yet in 2011

57.Katy Armstrong

Next in the countdown is the first of the teens Katy. Newcomer Katy has been described as a non entity and a bit one dimensional. In 2010 she started a relationship with Chesney Battersby Brown and in 2011 moved in with him. She has not been seen much in 2011 apart from in the background of scenes with Fiz and Chesney, maybe thats why she only ended 57

56.Russ Gray
4.86% (Round 1)

Another kid in the bottom 5 is Russ Gray. Son of Cheryl and Chris Gray, Russ coped with the split of his parents and started bonding with mums new boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney in 2010, In 2011 he has only been seen once, where he overheard Lloyd and Cheryl talk about his dad Chris going to jail. Like most of the kids, he has not been an important part of Coronation Street and I'm not suprised he's this low.

55.Owen Armstrong

Owen the builder finishes just outisde the bottom 5, despite being a more mainstream character then the other people who have appeared so far, he has not prooved popular with you. In 2010 Owen started a relationship with Liz McDonald and soon became unpopular with residents for his unpleasant nature. In 2011 He has made an enemie with Eileen Grimshaw, after she stole £10 000 of him but gave it back, he threatened to take legal actions but Eileen threatened him with his dodgy accounts.

Unsuprisingly, Dev does not finish in a good position. In 2010 we saw him get back together with ex wife and mother of his children Sunita, as well as being suspected of abusing children Aadi and Asha. In 2011 he has dealed with money problems, after friend Becky McDonald stole from his shop to pay for her nephew Max. He have been left with little money, and after his shop burnt down after the 2010 Tram Crash, they may be forced not to open the shop. Dev appears to not be a favourite on the Digital Spy Forums...

=54.Chris Gray

Joint with Dev is newcomer Chris Gray. Like Owen, Chris is a new villain who doesn't seem to be popular with you. In 2010 we saw Chris beat his wife Cheryl Gray, Cheryl broke up with him and started dating Llolyd Mullaney. In 2011, he has seen to be jealous of Lloyd and Cheryl's relationship despite being with Maria, and has been seen doing some dodgy deals including getting a friend to rob Janice Battersby's house.

52.Amy Barlow
6.37% (Round 1)

Another kid to finish low is Amy Barlow. In 2010 we saw her reunited with her biological mother Tracy Barlow after she was allowed to leave prison for grandmother Blanche's funeral. Later in 2010 Tracy was released from prison and since then Amy has been the centre of rows over her dad Steve McDonald and mum over who gets custody over her. She is now living mostly with Steve and Becky but Tracy gets too see her alot of the time too.

51.Fiz Stape
6.57% (Round 1)

Fiz Stape is next too appear, the character has been criticised on here recently and also Jennie McAlpine's acting skills. Fiz had a hard year with husband John who has behind her back murdered 2 people! In late 2010 she prematurely gave birth to baby Hope. 2011 has started off as a hard year for Fiz too, with baby Hope still in intensive care, Money problems and on top of that husband John Stape has been sectioned after having a mental breakdown. However you had little sympathy for her and she ended up in the bottom 10

Fiz Stape actress would probably be more popular as an actress if she had that `stick` tooth mended (don`t know if its a crown that`s come off) and then she`d be confident about opeing her mouth. Must be so limiting her acting performance.

Next up is aunt of Molly Dobbs, Pam. In 2010 Pam faced a shock when she find out that Molly was having an affair with Kevin Webster, and later coped with the death of Molly after the Tram Crash disaster. Pam hasn't been seen since Molly's funeral in 2010 and has not yet made an appearance in 2011, probably why she's so low

49.Kirk Sutherland
6.75% (Round 1)

At 49 is brother of Maria and unlucky in love Kirk. 2010 saw Kirk loose out for the job of machinist at Underworld, but get the job as delivery driver instead. It also showed him tell the police that he assaulted a man that Gary Windass actually did, so Gary's army career was not in jeopardy. So far in 2011 He has not featured much, but has been seen at the wedding of Peter and Leanne Barlow

48.Cheryl Gray
6.88% (Round 1)

The third and final Gray too appear is Cheryl, looks like the Grays haven't been popular with you yet! Lap dancer Cheryl first appeared in 2010 meeting with friend Leanne, it was then revealed husband Chris had been beating her. Lloyd Mullaney told her to end the relationship and start dating him, which she did. In 2011 she has faced troubles with Chris due to his jealous over her and Lloyd aswell as caring for her son Russ

47.Nick Tilsley

Next up is Gail's son Nick Tilsley, another actor unpopular with Digital Spy forums. 2010 saw Nick start a new business- a club named the Joinery with ex wife Leanne Battersby. This could only lead to trouble, and despite her relationship with Peter Barlow they started an affair. Nick believed he loved Leanne, but she went ahead with the wedding as she thought Peter was going to die after the tram crash. In 2011 the whole street has found out about the affair, and after almost ruining Leanne and Peter's relationship, Peter has given Leanne a second chance much to Nick's dismay. Nick has had some big storylines, but it hasn't been enough to impress you!

46.Janice Battersby

At 46 we have Janice. She has been her usual loud self in the past few years, which seems to have annoyed some viewers. 2010 and 2011 has seen Janice help stepdaughter Leanne get through some of the troubles of her life, whilst 2011 after thinking she got lucky with a man, was robbed by one Chris Gray's mates. Despite being quite a long serving character she only ranks at 46

45. Chesney Brown
7.42% (Round 1)

I think Chesney would have ranked higher a few years ago, but he has seemed to have lost a bit of the charm he had on the viewers in his teenage years. In 2010 we saw him cope with growing up, and getting a new girlfriend Katy Armstrong. He has made quite a few appearances in 2011, mostly helping out big sister Fiz as she has had a terrible start to the year and continuing his relationship with Katy.

Bill Webster ranks at 44, bit of a non entity and a bit pointless I always think. Bill has not been appearing as much in 2010 and 2011, after retiring and selling the building yard to Owen Armstrong Bill has not appeared as much and has been more of a background character. He has not made an appearance in 2011 yet.

43.Sean Tully
7.75% (Round 1)

Next up is Sean Tully, Digital spy's favourite barmaid!... or not. 2010 saw Sean look for his long lost son, and generally charm the digital spy forumers, aswell as the Rovers regulars. 2011 he has been generally the same, with his banter with Eileen and is set for the return of old flame Marcus.

42.Tracy Barlow
7.88% (Round 1)

Next up is another digital spy favourite. Suprised she's this high actually, seeing as all the criticism she gets here but she does have her fans. She returned to the street on Christmas Eve 2010, had a bust up with Gail and fought Becky and Steve for custody of child Amy until she ended up in hospital after a fatal blow from Claire Peacock. 2011 has seen her return from hospital and become a barmaid at the rovers, as well as stirring trouble for Peter and Leanne.

41.Kylie Turner
8.35% (Round 1)

Another one I'm suprised at being quite high aswell, she's only new and doesn't seem to be that popular with you. Kylie isn't the world's greatest mother... A pretty awful one in fact. In 2010 we saw her cause endless trouble for sister Becky and husband Steve as they couldn't concieve and wanted her son Max, she sold Max to them but later came back wanting more money forcing Becky to steal from good friends Sunita and Dev. She has not appeared in 2011 yet, but is set to appear soon with a new storyline.

40.Izzy Armstrong

Next up is Izzy Armstrong, highest of the Armstrongs. 2010 was when Izzy first appeared on the square, she was the first disabled regular and was headstrong and clashed with many people. In 2010 we saw Izzy settle into Weatherfield along with sister and dad and start a new relationship with Gary Windass. In 2011 we have seen her help Gary cope with his troubles with army.

39.Michelle Connor
8.70% (Round 1)

At 39 we have Michelle Connor, who is currently off screen due to maternity leave. I personally strongly dislike Kym Marsh (the actress) but I think Michelle's alright. 2010 saw Michelle start a relationship with Irish lothario Ciaran McCarthy and get a new job in underworld alongside friend Carla Connor. In 2011 we saw her flee off on a cruise ship along with Ciaran. Maybe if Kym Marsh had kept some of her opinions to herself she would have been higher.

38.Lloyd Mullaney
8.92% (Round 1)

Co-owner of streetcars Lloyd is next to rank. In 2010 we saw him break up with Liz McDonald and find a new love in Cheryl Gray. This has caused conflict between him and Cheryl's ex Chris, and a fight erupted between them on Peter Barlow's stag night. In 2010 we have seen his relationship develop between him and Cheryl, and him facing money problems after Steve McDonald failed to pay back the loan he owed to streetcars

37.Kevin Webster
8.98% (Round 1)

Next up is Kevin Webster. Kevin is seen as a bit of an iconic character, and if this was done a few years ago I think we would have seen him a bit higher. But due to his recent antics, I'm not suprised he's this low. 2010 has certainly been a busy year for Kevin, He coped with his wife having cancer whilst continuing on with an affair with Molly Dobbs, and found out his daughter Sophie was a lesbian, on top of that he became a father again to Molly Dobbs baby. After Molly died in the tram crash, she revealed to Sally about the affair, and since then he has been in the process of divorcing Sally and is being shunned by most of the street.

36.Sian Powers
9.34% (Round 1)

I'm quite suprised Sian ranked this low, seeing as she ranked 33 in the all time top 50 coronation street characters poll, and seems to have alot of fans on here due to her relationship with Sophie, I thought she would have made the top 30. 2010 has been an eventful year for Sian, after revealing she is a lesbian and has feelings for best friend Sophie Webster. Her father kicked her out and she is now living with the Websters, however that has proved tricky due to the recent fall out. In 2011 she has continued her relationship with Sophie and tried to help her get out of her downward spiral.
