Apologies if this has already been mentioned elsewhere - I looked but couldn't find it.

Robin was on Daybreak (or whatever the "Lorraine" segment is called) this morning, being interviewed by Kate Garraway.

Having answered the usual questions - yes, he does still skate, etc. etc., he was asked about Jason and said he felt Jason often said what other people were thinking, and even admitted he wished he had it in him to say something similar.

When asked about his - Jason's - row with Karen, he said as Karen was with the contestants all week she was bound to get more emotionally involved. But as judges their job was was to judge was was shown to them on the night, not consider all that might have gone on during the week.

Hmm, I wonder if that last bit's a tacit admission that Karen's current role is a complete waste of time in his view?

Maybe he just thinks Karen's role is as coach and mentor (and as such, I'm pretty sure she's excellent) makes it difficult for her to view the contestants Sunday night performances without prejudice, but whatever, he certainly seemed to have no problems with Jason.

Well I know when Karen's husband was the coach he never appeared on the Show yet now Karen seems to be the head coach, she sits infront of the skaters basically as a decoration and her comments are really rather silly. We hear about the journey and she is positive about every skater. In a way, I hate to admit this, what Jason said is actually true. As she is no longer a judge her comments are worthless and if she wants to advise the skaters she has all week to do it!! Sadly, I think Karen and Emma are a bit of a waste of space on the Sunday night. They can join Holly as decoration. I do not believe that Karin has been "promoted" as the blurb from the show tells us!!!

Karen has always coached on the show since series 1.

Was he asked if he would be skating on DOI this seres? I would love to see Robin skate again and I shouldn't think I'm the only one.

It's good to hear that Robin mostly agrees with what Jason says. I think you can tell that he doesn't have a problem with Jason and in fact he does say on the show that he agrees with what he has said or even sometimes predicts what he will say.

I know alot of people really don't like Jason and think he brings nothing to DOI but I think Robin's comments have gone some way to proving that he does know what he's talking about and does deserve his place as a judge. I personally think Jason is a good judge.

Thank goodness for Robins view. He obviously doesn't have a problem with Jason and tbh neither do I. Robin evidently agrees with Jason most of the time even though he phrases his comments in a different way. Good to have an valid insiders view of Jason from a fellow judge.

No, he wasn't asked if he would be skating on doi, just whether or not he still skates, which he said he did.

For Robin to say he is often in accord with Jason is one thing - to suggest he says what he (Robin) would like to say is an entirely different and questionable attitude.

Does he really wish he had compared Sharon to faeces - suggested Jeff has a couple of chromosomes missing - and just as pertinent is he saying he wishes he'd insulted Karen in similar manner to Jason.

Robin went down in estimation after his comments.

Robin went up greatly in my personal estimation after that interview. Pleased to see he didn't jump on the Jasonbashing bandwagon and was honest enought to say what he thought.

They all generally stick together in any show.

So, who knows what any of them really think !

I doubt if Robin said anything derisory about Karen either !

Was he asked about the week before last, when KK was kept in ?
