We will have to be really keen to watch the whole of the programs this week. For those of you who who haven't checked yet the times are:

Thursday 8.00 to 9.30 12 Boys
Friday 9.00 to 10.30 12 Girls
Friday 10.30 to 12.30 Results

Total broadcast time 5 hours - this can of course be massively reduced by recording and eliminating at least the adverts and also the duplications ("coming next will be" etc). Presumably some of the back stories will also be trotted out, or even new ones brought in, so if you only want to hear the singing it will take a lot less than 5 hours!

I'm seriously considering the purchase of a digital recorder for this program alone!

Or spoilers to find out who's gone out - the singing shows I can handle, no way can I staying awake that long to see who's gone Although, if the boot song rumours are true, I might just have to set an alarm and wake myself up for it.

Crazy to have just 90 mins to do 12 acts and then have a 120 minute result show.

I will skip the results. Maybe watch a highlight version!

I don't get the results show being that length either, even if they have got 24 recaps to get through, although I'm presuming padding, guests and a group song *shudder* (oh please don't let them be as cringey as last year, and please let them be able to at least sing them live this year).

The only other thing I can think of is as it's the first live show they'll make a big production of introducing the new judges

I think we will be seeing them working with Jimmy Iovine back in the house. He is mentoring them. I noticed both Lady Gaga and Eminem thanked him when they won Grammy awards 2 weeks ago. tinterscope makes Simon Cowell's Music label look amateur.
