Colton should have got through!

He was easily the best contestant. Best looking and one of, it not the best voice. I don't understand how Brett and co got through over him

I wouldn't say he was the best but he definitely deserved to get through.... He was amazing on the piano in his last performance!

That was the only decision that I had a real problem with. I would much rather have seen Colton in the final 24 than Brett.

I must be missing something when it comes to Brett because I've never seen a performance from him that particularly impressed me

Yes, I have never got Brett and thought Colton was much better - even though he has an Aidan hairstyle!

Jaycee sang very sweetly, but is IMO too young, and I am afraid that his bodyshape may haved counted against him.

They have a couple of Cotton types this year.
Brett got in because he is a different type of Artist imo.

I really liked him too. I'm glad Brett got in, but Colton was much better than some of the other top 12 guys.

I think that his good looks disadvantaged him too, after Tim Urban.

The young girls would obviously vote for him more based on looks than talent (not that he isn't talented). It happened last year, and when the judges started to de-pimp Tim Urban as much as they could after he started to stay over potentially better performers/singers.

I do think he should have been chosen over Brett though...

Don't worry. Saving him for a future year I think.

I'd agree, and I'd think he lost out to Paul and Tim, rather then Brett. He's got potential, and I'd be very surprised not to see him next year, that bit older and that bit more experienced.

It will be interesting to see how many who failed in AI will appear in the US X-Factor.

Prime candidates will be the virtual groups or duos which appeared this season.

The thing to remember is that just because those 3 guys were grouped together at the end it doesn't mean the choice was really "between them". The judges made all the decisions before even a single person was marched out there.

I agree it’s a shame Colton didn’t get through. But Brett definitely deserved to get through.

Brett’s voice, image, and personality, are all quite distinctive and memorable. And all three of those things matter in making a star, and a good TV show.

Brett reminds me of Simply Red... This gives me rage!

I would argue that Brett's image is a bit.. light in the loafers... for a current audience except...

There's Bieber. With Bieber as a star, all of that has been thrown off.
