Mobile Phone Advice
Izak
26-02-2011
I have a old Samsung mobile phone I got back in 2004 when I was 18 and often get the mickey taken as it looks so old now! (This isn't the reason I want a new mobile)

The phone's (very poor) camera stopped working less than two years after I got the phone and there is no way of even transferring all the photos I took straight to my PC! The phone itself still works but the functionality is very basic and I want something a bit more advanced - like a smartphone!

I currently have a iPod Touch (1st gen) which I have had for nearly 3 years and use it every day mainly as a PDA (but cannot be upgraded to iOS 4). My obviously choice in mobile phone then would be an iPhone but as they are so expensive both on contract and PAYG, I was looking at the HTC phones as well.

Can anyone give me some advice? One thing I was considering was getting a new iPod Touch (4th gen) with all the extra features and iOS 4 so I can carry on using all the apps I already have. Then getting a HTC Desire or something like that as a smartphone.

Would it be worth re-posting this thread, Izak, in the mobile phones forum http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1 as well so that you can get some advice about the mobile phone element?
