Downloading of Channel 4 shows

As the old Channel 4oD download programme has been axed, I am wondering if there is an alternative means of downloading 4's content to my laptop, that doesn't involve lining Apple's burgeoning pockets.

Advice appreciated.

I'll take that as a no then!

The only other way would be downloading via bittorrent or other p2p services, and would be illegal if you cannot find what you want on legal services.

So if you want to stay within the law, that answer is no I am afraid.

I believe the streamtransport software is able to grab the flash media stream and download it for watching back at a later date.
Im on windows 7 but was having loads of trouble with it crashing so gave up on it though but you may have more luck.
rtmpdump can also do it but its a command line program so not easy to use

Streamtransport definitely works with 4oD and an XP based PC.
