I've upgraded my Foxsat HDR with a Samsung HD204UI 2Tb drive. I followed the instructions here for creating partitions on the new drive, and copying the contents of the equivalent partitions on the old drive:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/pvrs-...l#post14156886

The Foxsat booted up fine, but it's showing the HDD as being 100% full, and 0% utilised. It can't see any of the copied recordings, but is not showing any free disk space (I copied approx. 240Gb of recordings onto the media partition).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Alternatively, is there any way of copying the recordings from the EXT3 partition on my original HDD to a Windows system? That way I could maybe use Windows for playback of my old recordings and format the new HDD in the Foxsat?

I believe it is not possible to just replace a drive over 1tb. There are some instructions on AV Forums and the HDR wiki site which has details of how to upgrade. Searches tend to do the trick.

Get yourself a esata/usb drive cradle to connect to your PC and install EXT2FS on your PC. This allows access of a EXT3 volume under windows. The hdr will only format a drive itself up to 1TB though.

You have to create 4 separate partitions. The recordings have to be on the same partition as the original disk.

This is how I did it last March, though my instructions may not be very clear.
