Orange - "Unregistered sim" showing on Motorola V500
I have an old phone I haven't used for about 18 months, but which had around £13 credit on it for PAYG. A google about this seems to show that the sim cards are 'switched off' after 6 months if a chargeable call isn't made.
Before I phone Orange in the morning and ask them what can be done about this, can anyone tell me whether I've therefore lost that £13 credit? Thanks. |

Yes, its gone ... the only thing that can be done is the sim reactivated and number assigned to it, if it hasnt been put back out yet

Thanks for that. I've tried emailing Orange just in case (can't phone them from that mobile anyway, and it'd be preferable to have it in writing) so if I get any joy, I'll post here.

I very much doubt the £13 credit is "gone", the 'phone number itself probably.
0800 079 0006 Is I think Orange PAYG registrations. |

0800 079 0006 Is I think Orange PAYG registrations. I'm not as fussed about the number as I am the credit, since it'd be good to use just for emergencies. However, I've just tried the number and it says I've dialed an incorrect number so I presume it hasn't yet been reallocated. Don't know if that would mean I'd get a different one, but no-one calls me on it now anyway. |
