According to Dialidol which accuratley measures telephone votes and then lists the contestants as to where they are ranking in the Phone vote, Casey is currently 8th out of 12 in the voting and may not qualify at all.

It also shows Ta-Tynisa Wilson as top of the girls, with a higher score than the next three most popular girls combined.

I do think the boys group is more competitive: Durbin, McCreery, McDonald or Lusk could all win. But I'll be in shock if Abrams doesn't go through - even if he needs a wild card to do it.

Actually, Jacob's strained vocals and Casey's "for the sake of it" performance made Adam Lambert seem better than I already thought he was.

Spoiler
Dialidol has become increasingly inaccurate over the past couple of years as an increasing number of votes are made by text which Dialidol doesn't have the facility to take into consideration as it works on the premise of busy signals on phone votes.

Their geo-predictions have still proved to be representative so it's probably better to go by those.

When you've typed what you want to say, highlight the whole word/sentence/paragraph that you don't want revealed (as if you were going to bold, italic or underline it) and then click on the S at the right-hand end of the formatting row.

Anyone who wants to read what you have blocked out can do so by running their cursor over the text.

I have enjoyed Casey, and also Wagner. To my eternal credit.

Thank you, Ibeca - now I know how to do spoilers I think I'll do them all the time.

I guess I'm alone here. In that case, may I suggest that if our 'jazz singer' can progress with IPASOY, he could clean up with Screaming Jay's 'Constipation Blues'.

IPASOY, is that one of those infuriating forum abbreviation/acronyms ?

I love Casey i think he is hugely talented but wether the us public like him enough remains to be seen, my biggest thing about him is that he reminds me of rory mcgrath still trying to work out wether that is good or bad

Excellent comment!

Apologies, Humbucker - IPASOY = I Put A Spell On You. (I was very, very drunk at the time.)

In the cold light of day, I think Casey has no chance of winning, but I hope he keeps suprising us. If we get a lot of White Guys With Guitars, (or WGWGs as they are known, apparently), he could fight back with his trusty melodica. I suggest Coltrane's immortal A Love Supreme.

I hope you're right but stranger things have happened.

I really wanted to like him but his performance grated on me.

I had a dream last night that it was Ratpack week, & a clean-shaven Casey in a dicky-bow sang The Rhythm of Life, (popularised by Mr Sammy Davis Jnr) - "HIT the FLOOOR & CRAAWL to your DAADDY!". Now that, I suggest, is entertainment.
