No one is denying that iOS is the leader when compared to Android. But these last couple of threads in the mobile forums have been about the recent upturn of Android sales against iOS. Not who is winning overall since the first iPhone came out.”
Yes, but many of the iOS devices have been replaced and are no longer in use.
I am afraid hard sales numbers are factual. These figures from uSwitch look like something done on the back of a fagpacket. Notice no one else is agreeing with them.

It clearly shows in Eurpoe over the last year the number of iOS users dropped and Android increased. If you look at the UK statistics iOS dropped even further.”
The
number of iOS users has not dropped, but increased. iPhone sales have increased a great deal in the last year. A massive increase in fact. More people are buying iPhones each year.

Android phones are being activated at about 300,000 a day and iPhones (not iPads or iPod Touches) at 188,000 a day.
I don't dispute that. What I do dispute is that one Android handset such as the HTC Desire is outselling the iPhone. It isn't.
