Apparently there wasn't much to choose between them. Dorothy isn't really a hard role is it.
They've only just started rehearsing the cover Dorothies now. What would they had done if Danielle was ill during the previews like Michael Crawford was? Luckily she wasn't! Otherwise it would've been a mess.
