Standing ovation for Sophie I hear. I am getting more bitter and twisted by the day.

But let not this become an anti Sophie thread. She deserves her moment in the sun.

Dan got a few standing ovations too, so we can't be that bitter.

I'm really happy that Sophie got a standing ovation as well. She deserves it. This could launch her career as well.

Also bear in mind that Sophie's opening night audience had a lot of her family and friends, according to reports. Still, a lot of the cast members were tweeting that she did well, and I'm not going to take anything away from her. I've always liked Sophie as well, even though I had reservations about her readiness for a West End lead, especially acting and movement-wise. She has been at Arts Ed, though, so obviously she has improved, and she already had a great voice. Still, I think Danielle's fans will prefer Danielle in the role, and Sophie's fans will prefer Sophie. It doesn't matter to me, since Dan is still getting the publicity and recognition. It's not a competition anymore. That ended last year.

I am very curious as to how Sophie interprets the character, though. All I've heard online is that she was good. There have been very few details beyond that. I really like what Danielle did with the role, and I can't imagine Sophie playing it the way Dan does, as they are very different performers.

Its pretty bad really, but compared to some of the other batman films of that period, its not the worst! I do think that Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones played great villians though, they actually did the characters they play some justice.

Don't have much to add to that, except that Tommy Lee Jones doesn't do Two Face justice, but he is entertaining in the role. Just like Jim Carry.

There is a really big difference between the two versions of Two Face in the films (Batman Forever & Dark Knight), one is really comical and has a large gang of thugs, the other is really serious and goes solo....not to mention one is half purple Carrey is just a good actor in general, hes rather manic all the time, so it was obvious that the character would be because of this!

The Two Face in The Dark Knight is the Two Face from the comics. The Two Face from Batman Forever act almost just like the Joker from Batman. But in all fairness i can enjoy his performance. Jim Carry did play his Ace Ventura character in this movie, but if you like that kind of humor then you'll like this performance.
But the movie a taste of things to come in the movie that came 2 years after it.
