I just don't understand what some people were watching! They should've gone in with an open mind and not compare everything to the Judy Garland movie.

Danielle wasn't trying to be Judy, she was playing Dorothy her own way! Isn't that what she's suppose to do?

Anyways, I can't wait to see the show again on Friday. Excited to see Danielle rock it!
Enjoy

Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
For they fought with expert timing

Some randomness for the soul.

Well there could be some little problems with Danielle's performance. The decision that you have to make is if those bother you or not. Just like The Dark Knight with me. I know it has flaws, but i don't care. For the record i'm sure Danielle was great. I have no doubt about that! I can't judge something i haven't seen. I'm only using what i've read.

And when they say that Danielle was to much Judy Garland, then they are saying that Danielle was too much Dorothy. There is only so much you can change before people don't recognize Dorothy. So that is just nitpicking something, because they don't want to say that she was great.

And we must always remember that Judy Garland is Dorothy. She has been for 72 years. That's something that Danielle will not change. Not in this short amount of time. So it is only natural that you would compare Danielle with her predecessor. We do that with everything. But we should only except criticism if it's just. I haven't seen it so i take both on board. Those that mean i want her to fail? Not at all, but i won't only look at the positive.

Okay, for some reason i started to type a lot. Don't really know where this came from, but it is nothing personal to anyone on this thread.

I didn't see any problems with Dan's performance, this might be down to the fact that as a "crazy fanatic" I didn't want to see the flaws or just ignored them.
For the record in my opinion there was no fault in her performance, she played it her way and I'm happy with that.

And that's great. I doubt there is anything wrong with it. Fanatic or not the show, interviews with cast members and alw don't lie. It has already been proven that is an all-round great performance. Just like you can say that an movie a classic. Some people might disagree, but the majority thinks the same. So will it be with this performance

Exactly, the Wizard of Oz is a marmite thing anyway. Majority of people like it and some will hate it. That's life!

Yes, the first official mambo mafia meeting finally happened, bet they all had a great time. Meeting strangers who you've only just chatted to online is a bit scary and fun at the same time.

Just realised DHF has seen WoO 4 times! Superfan indeed.

Absolutely shattered after 2hrs sleep in 2 days but it's been completely worth it. Danielle was fantastic she brought so much energy to her performance and her comedic timing was brilliant.Sti cannot believe how nice she was, took time to meet her fans.

It was nice to meet the mafia although very briefly and rebekah the badges are brilliant thanks for making them. Also massive Congrats to those who made the fanbook looks amazing and rely professional.

It's been a great year to be part of the mafia

WOW! That was an awesome evening. The show was the best thing I've ever seen, so glad I bought plenty of tickets, I may even try to go this Saturday too The forum members that I met are lovely, it was an honour to meet them....it was scary though, that out of all the seats in the Palladium, I was sat right next to Kat and Aimee. I'll do a larger review on the forum later, but I thought I'd just post randomly on here.....

....oh, and hi!

oh, I almost forgot, I epically got lost...twice. I was ripped off by the taxi service. I saw our fanbook, which was amazing. I met Danielle which is a biggy. I saw Dan's face when she looked at the book. I went on a hunger strike. I made friends with a taxi driver who insisted I listen to some old comedy on the radio, it was crap.
