Dan was spotted in Tescos today, so whatever she has isn't life threatening.
It's so sad reading tweets from people who are saying their coming down just to see her and she won't be on.
At least she hasn't had a heart attack then!

Ciao, Apollonia and proud Ulsterwoman! I won't be around much this evening, as I am going out for a meal.

lol!

All I meant by that earlier comment was in terms of Sophie-gate, the only prior case I know of where an understudy replaced a regular cast member on a cast album was when the regular cast member had had a heart attack (1776 OBC), and unless it is something drastic like that, I don't see why the understudy ever has to replace the main person on a cast album. As for Sophie on the cast album, I hope it's just a bonus track and not a replacement for Danielle. If they need any extra recording of Dorothy's part, they can wait until Danielle is better.

Again, though, I have absolutely nothing against Sophie. I'm glad she's doing well as the alternate. I just think the cast album should have the main person and not the alternate/understudy except in very extreme cases like the 1776 example.

The plot line reminded me of the finale to last season, and also a Tom Baker episode. Maybe thats where he got the idea.

Who knows, maybe he did. He really likes time travel problems in his episodes

I am the same. I have nothing against Sophie. Rather the opposite: I felt so sorry when she was left kind of stranded at the end of OTR, without the dignified exit accorded to Lauren. Sophie was shoved to the side.

^Yes, but in that case they were just doing what they had done on all the previous casting shows. It does seem a little unfair that the second place contestant doesn't get a sing-out, but it also would kind of distract from the subject at hand (the winner).

Here's Baby Dragon's (awesome!) video of all the ALW winner's announcements so you can see how they handled the runners-up on all of the shows:
