I have heard that the iplayer will soon be available on the iphone is this true?

Iplayer has been on iphone for years now. You can just download the free app and it works great.

i have done a search on my iphone and bo bbc iplayer

I can get iplayer through Safari but you have to go in to settings/safari and enable java script first. Not sure about and app for iplayer but article below makes good reading.

I do have an high end top of the range smarphine tho, in the shape of an HTC desire and that has bbc iplayer..

Currently the app is available for the iPad. For now to get iplayer on your iPhone just point your browser at the BBC iPlayer site

Just go to bbc.co.uk/iplayer

Save it to your home screen if you want - then it's there as if it were an app.

They've said they're going to release an app, but because the iPlayer already works great on the iPhone, other platforms like the iPad were their first priority.
