LG Optimus One?
Anyone got this?
It's now either this or the HTC Wildfire...not sure which to go for. |

Yes I've just bought one, trouble is I've never had a smart phone before and it's a bit of a headache, but I'm getting there slowly, seems alright to me, nice having a keyboard instead of the small multi keys of a phone and now I'm getting used to it, it should get easier to use.

I'm afraid i've nothing to compare it to, but it seems fine to me, fits the hand and feels solid, the touch screen is fine even though I've left the screen protector on.

I had the prior Optimus, the GT540 and it was excellent. Very little bloat too
I upgraded/swapped to the San Francisco for a better screen. This is bloaty until rooted. |

Dave I got a retention offer from 3, £4.99 a month and I get 600 texts, 75 mins, 2GB internet, which is perfect for me. I can upgrade anytime in the next 12 months with no penalty as it was a 12 month flex contract. I did have to buy the optimus one from them though on PAYG for £169. I am looking forward to getting this phone tomorrow. Apparently it will run the old Nintendo games too which is even more exciting. |

A very good deal for what is essentially an overpriced phone.
You just can't go wrong at that all-in price though. |

Since the phone runs Android 2.2 it will be compatible with iPlayer [amongst many other 2.2+ only Apps].

I wouldn't say it's overpriced at all. It's a fairly high spec phone.
That only has a (decent) resistive screen though. Your Optiumus One does looks close to the HTC Wildfire S and I'm not knocking its as a phone. |

Its a small upgrade from the older Optimus GT540 which can be had for £75.

The GT540 is around £75 but is very early Android so won't be as compatible.
The One has Android 2.2 and GT540 Android 2.1 The GT540 is £75 because of the 'never buy a resistive screen' mantra. This probably causing LG to give up on it and fit a $5 extra cost capacitive screen for the One. |
