Not a fan of button mushrooms or raw tomatos. Cooked is fine.
Never been a fan of Aspic jelly on things.
Southern fried chicken - i just don't see the fuss.
Kebabs - never have never will, the smell alone is bile inducing.
Mild chedder - what the hell is the point?
Dragon fruit - looks nice, minimal taste.
Chocolate fondant - no great shakes in my opinion.
Chinese takeaways - same gloop, different colours.

For me it isn't a specific food but a specific texture of food - wobbly.

I cannot stand the texture of things like jelly or cold custard - anything that wobbles just makes me feel a bit sick! We were at a wedding reception at the weekend and the starter for the meal was potted Cumbrian ham - now I like ham, but the "potted" bit was basically ham encased inside some kind of savoury jelly. It reminded me slightly of cat food! Out of politeness I did try a forkful but as soon as I could feel the jelly in my mouth I had to delicately spit it out into my napkin!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like that!

A lot of things that have already been named aren't to my personal taste (mushrooms, seafood, kidneys, offal) but I appreciate that other people like them!

One thing that most people use all the time that I cannot abide are tinned tomatoes. I can only use passata.

Anything made with tinned tomatoes (spag bol, chilli etc) turns my stomach! In fact I am not a tomato fan at all - I can only have fresh tomatoes on Bruschetta (or when I am abroad!)

Oh and Porridge is another thing. I bought and made some last week, took one mouthful and threw the lot out... It was like eating vomit!

Shove a tin of tomatoes in your blender, switch it on and you have........passata!

If I did cdwm this thread would be the best.

I used to hate mushrooms but now love them but aware lots of people hate them so wouldn't cook those. Same with kidneys/ liver why people cook these on their menu for a dinner party I don't know. Or whole fish lots of people hate fish with heads on

I like asparagus and scallops, but fail to see why they are seen as premium ingredients and loved by chefs.

I can't see the attraction of kidneys. They smell of piss which isn't surprising seeing what their function is in animals.

Sweetcorn- I just don't get it. Makes me queasy even thinking about it!

And beetroot- I think I'll always remember it being forced on me at school

Liver & Kidneys - Just awful, nasty texture, grim taste I don't see the appeal
Aubergine & Courgettes - The worst vegetables in existence
Sandwich spread - Looks like vomit in a jar and the taste is repulsive
Mashed Potato - My least favourite way of eating a potato, much prefer them roasted or even in chips
Mushrooms - Hate the texture, hate the taste. I will however eat garlic mushrooms and I also don't mind them on a pizza but if they're in a carbonara I often pick them out.

Other than the above I will eat pretty much anything.

Spicy food, why make it so your tastebuds can't taste everything. Baked beans are just horrid as well

another vote for meat cooked rare (or raw as I call it)

it makes me feel sick to see someone eating it all dripping with blood.
I know people say it is ruining the meat to overcook it - but if I see some pinkness in the middle of my steak - it totally ruins it for me, and I can't eat it at all.

There isnt much that i dont like. I was brought up to try everything once, which i have stuck with. I found out that i liked all sort of weird and wonderful things. But my main hate is .........................

MARMITE

My boss loves it, and when he breathes on me afterwards and i feel sick. He also leaves his marmite coated knife in the sink for me to wash up, and when the hot water hits it, the smell rises *vom*.

I honestly cant think of anything else. Im not keen on marrow, aubergine and cougette - but i will eat it if pushed. Im not keen on mild cheeses and i dont like full fat milk. But again, if thats all there is i will eat it.

I could say that i dont like shell fish, but they are the one things i have never tried. I have never had a cockle, muscle or winkle in my life. Its not that i have avoided them, its just the opportunity has never arisen. Plus, i dont want to waste money buying them incase i hate them.
