Humax FOXSAT-HDR T2

Am I right in thinking the 320GB version is exactly the same as the 500GB version except for the size of the hard drive?

Thanks

I'm gonna say yes - because anything else would be daft. But I'm just making the same assumption you are.

I'm going to say no.

Mainly because the Foxsat HDR (freesat) which is 320GB isn't he same as The Fox HDR T2 (freeview) which is 500GB.

And this is posted in the freeview forum.

Both 320GB and 500GB versions of the Foxsat HDR have been marketed.

True, but he's posted in the freeview section about the T2 HDR and I wanted to make sure he doesn't think the Foxsat 320GB is the same as the Fox T2 500GB.

I have commented before on the absurdity of the current unbalanced forum structure between different platforms.

Sorry, should have posted an update last night after I realized what a dork I am.

Thanks for the information Mike but I've found that out the hard way. I bought a PVR on Tuesday and was just wanting confirmation of what the salesman had told me before I opened the box.

My first mistake was having it in the back of my mind that there was a 320GB version of the Freeview box. But that pales into insignificance with not looking at the package when the salesman brought it up from the storeroom.

I came home with a FreeSat box when I want a Freeview one.

Now either the salesman brought up the wrong box from the storeroom or he was telling me porkies when he said the 320 box was exactly the same as the 500 except for the hard disk size. Given John Lewis don't have a 320 Freeview box on their website I'd guess the latter.

What makes it all the more annoying is that I was talking to him specifically about getting a Panasonic TV with a FreeSat tuner and a Humax twin tuner PVR so that I could record 2 programes while watching a third (on the odd occasion this might happen). The TV FreeSat tuner would also give me out of region programs.

A trip back into town tomorrow beckons so I can have words with John Lewis.

If that is the way it went I can easily see how the salesman got it in their head that you wanted a Freesat PVR too.

Unfortunately I'll have to agree - it was almost certainly my fault and not the salesman.

I probably spoke about a Humax PVR rather than a Freeview one and the display that I was shown has FreeSat PVR's in big letters at the top.

The Freeview one's were round the corner.

No problem exchanging the box for a Freview one with John Lewis.
