Please could anyone tell me how long the guarantee on a new Humax foxsat is?
Would it be 1 year or 2 years?

Depends where you buy it from. If you buy from J Lewis you likely get 5yrs. Richer Sounds offers a 5yr warranty at a modest extra cost, you get your money back after 5yrs if you don't claim on it and remember to ask for the money.

Thanks for reply, I realy needed the standard manufacturers waranty, as new ones listed on ebay show some as 1 year and some as 2 year.
I have searched this forum, and also Humax website, and can not find the manufacturers waranty period.

The warranty is 'as you buy it', it can be either 1 year or 2, different offers have different warranties.
I have just purchased the 1TB foxsat hdr direct from Humax and the warranty is 2 years (1 year for a grade A reconditioned unit).
Carriage was £6 for next day delivery by Interlink who sent me a text with the hour within which they delivered. I thought that was pretty good. Better than the usual sometime between 8 and 5.
John Lewis offer 2yrs guarantee on the 320GB and 500GB models.
