I haven't got a Library icon

iTunes is all enabled for HomeSharing?

Odd.
Sorry I was thinking iPad. It's not an icon on the iPad - you click the word 'Library' and offers options to use the local or remote library. Anyway glad you got it working

I think it only works for free on '3' - with other networks like O2 you have to buy a bolt on. Which network are you with and do you have an iPhone 4? http://www.callingallgeeks.org/how-t...t-on-iphone-4/

Tesco uses the O2 network I think. So it's unlikely you'll get it to work unless you buy a bolt-on - need to ask Tesco to make sure.

There is no icon - normally you can turn it on via Settings > General > Network > Personal Hotspot - but it's probably greyed out or gives a message to contact your network provider.

Does iOS 4.3 fix the annoying lagging issues with 3G Connectivity that plagued 4.2.1?

Does the lock screen seem a bit more transparent to anyone else? The bit surrounding the 'slide to unlock' bar seems more clear.
Did it used to have the translucent box around the 'slide to unlock' bar at all? Something looks different. My fiancée is still on 4.2 yet, so I'll have a look later.

I have no issues at all when I go into the pass cosde section of the settings. Everything seems grand for me except my push notifications for Facebook are still sporadic at best!

Is this a Facebook issue or iOS issue?? I used to love the instant notifications on my 3G S! Haven't worked properly on the iPhone 4 since way into last year

Think i'll move to Three instead of o2. Restricting the tethering is ridiculous when they allow it on android handsets.

It appears to be blocked on all networks other than Three and T-Mobile.

Free tethering coming to O2 soon.

Hi there, we're soon launching new tariffs which would include tethering so you could use personal hotspots feature. Watch this space!

I thought the Hotpot function was only for the iPhone 4. I have the button on my 3GS, but of course when I press it, I get: 'To enable Personal Hotspot on this account, contact Orange UK.'
Hotspot will still appear on older phones as its where the old tethering function now lives. Hotspot should only work over bluetooth and USB on older models though and over bluetooth, USB and wifi on the iPhone 4

Can someone who updated to this yesterday post the build number in brackets in version on settings/general/about? Just want to check if its the same as the GM or if I need to update

If true it may save me from jumping ship to 3 in June

AFAIK, the only network which doesn't charge extra for tethering is Three.
t-mobile works fine.

And am sure it would be near impossible for them to tell on any network, if done right/ not abused.

My Vodafone connection seemed to work OK on a quick test

But Orange and O2 have locked it down so that the button does nothing but prompt a message telling you to contact them.

It's still going to be capped whatever happens. Just that you can use your data however you want. 3 is still a much better option for tethering.

I'm assuming you don't have a tethering package?

Anything else new apart from the tethering option
