Wireless speakers for Panasonic system
Does anyone have experience of using wireless rear speakers on a Panasonic SC-BT230EB-K Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Cinema system?
I am very pleased with the system-but where I have it I cannot easily hide the wires (tiled floor,French windows etc. What are the pro's and cons? Many thanks in advance. |

How close to a mains supply are the rear speakers? That is the biggest "con" really. They need to be close to a mains supply to power the receiver/amplifier unit(s).
So if they are stuck out in the middle of the floor you are not really in any better position than using wired speakers. If they are on a wall with a socket close by then that is a different matter. You also should check out what frequency band they use. If they use the same band as Video senders and Wireless networking (2.4GHz) then they could be subject to interference from all the devices that use that band. Then again I'm old fashioned enough to believe two lengths of good old solid copper are superior in every way to those new fangled radio wave things

Thanks Chrisjr
The rear speakers would be next to mains sockets. The system has "rear wireless speaker kit" as an option, I just wanted to know if they are any good and if the speakers would sound the same as wired speakers. Any ideas? |
