A great start to life with 3... not!

Okay, so I took the plunge and ordered the 'Sim 100' sim only tarriff with three, with gives you 100 mins, 3,000 texts and 1GB of internet.

The sim arrived today, so I started using it and very quickly found my internet usage was being charged for. Within a couple of minutes I had totalled up £1.42 in charges - at this rate I would be bankrupt by the end of the month! I quickly turned the internet off and called 3.

The kind gentleman at 3 spent roughly 10 minutes telling me my tariff didn't come with internet and I was mistaken in thinking it did. He told me I had selected the 'sim 10' tariff which just had minutes and texts (I have never heard of this). I referred him to my confirmation email which states I have Sim 100.

After a LOT of waiting and being put on hold, he eventually agreed the internet would be added and I should avoid using the internet for a while until it went onto my account.

I asked about the £1.42 I had been charged and he said that he would double my allowance to 2GB a month to compensate me (rather than refund the amount to my account!)

Seems like a good deal to me... if it works. It's like getting blood out of a stone though to get things sorted though... I am already wondering if I have made the right decision! Suffice to say, I will be holding off giving them my PAC code for a few days, to see how things pan out!

How did you misread it? Did you think I was 3-bashing!? I was a little bit.

The 2GB internet has now come on my account now though, so I have forgiven them for the time-being!

This would be such a great feature... if I knew anyone on three!

I have just realised I have 2000 3to3 minutes included in my package, but it isn't advertised on the net! How bizarre that they are giving better details then they are advertising!
