Will reveal all sorts of conflicts between rights holders, co-producers, partners, foreign networks, even between the BBC and its own worldwide division as the article points out... interesting times.

So what happens if a US resident buys BBC content direct and watches without ad breaks, or a UK resident watches CSI without having to visit a UK TV station?

1. Scrap the license and sell the BBC.

2. Change the license to a BBC Subscription and make it optional.

Having BBC TV on an Ipad is hardly the same as being able to receive it through an aerial and watch it on the HD set in the living room.

Ditto with the radio- it's hardly the same as being able to pick it up on your car radio/clock radio/hifi/anywhere via FM or DAB.

It should be priced on a purely commercial basis to receive maximum revenue. If that means a price of 10 dollars a month, that is what it should be. If 20 dollars would make more money, then go with that.

For $10 a month most people would subscribe to a UK VPN and have access to all the online TV services.

Has this been launched yet, has anyone given it a go? I'm sriously considering it just so I can watch match of the day again!

Though trusting my luck (and the exciting ways football licensing works) it won't be available anyway.

No sport whatsoever.

It's mostly old programmes, not current content.
