Will reveal all sorts of conflicts between rights holders, co-producers, partners, foreign networks, even between the BBC and its own worldwide division as the article points out... interesting times.
So what happens if a US resident buys BBC content direct and watches without ad breaks, or a UK resident watches CSI without having to visit a UK TV station?
Having BBC TV on an Ipad is hardly the same as being able to receive it through an aerial and watch it on the HD set in the living room.
Ditto with the radio- it's hardly the same as being able to pick it up on your car radio/clock radio/hifi/anywhere via FM or DAB.
It should be priced on a purely commercial basis to receive maximum revenue. If that means a price of 10 dollars a month, that is what it should be. If 20 dollars would make more money, then go with that.
