It's actually funny hearing him or Jlo or Randy gush about the likes of Hayley or Stephano or whatshisface who are just soooo boring and have nothing special whatsoever.”

It's a measure of this supposedly so incredibly talented bunch that those who would have been eliminated from the competition in the first live show on previous years (except perhaps last year) have the "judges" raving about them. Still, some people seem to be falling for the guff that this bunch of (with two exceptions) previous rejects are incredibly talented. What a joke and, with the occasional exception of Randy who appears to have taken over Simon's mantel, what a ridiculous excuse for a panel.

LOL. Whatever you say.

Because certainly the "exaulted" X-factor panel has never gushed over people who were nothing special. Nope didn't happen several times this year at all. Simon surely would never lavish praise on mediocrity like Katie whatsherface and Cher Lloyd when they didn't deserve it. He'd never say a crap boyband like Wand Erection were one of the best groups ever on the show...nope.

Face it. Even the mediocre talent on this Idol season blasts away X-factor "talent".

Not sure that this forum is slower than last year.

The Top 12 poll last year got 67 votes
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...ight=favourite, and the poll this week is already on 70 votes.

The so-called judging this year is laughable. There's a part of me that thinks neither Jennifer nor Steven wants to be instantly disliked or they have been instructed not to say anything too critical or derogatory until the public's reaction to them as judges has been gaged (and this can only really be done in the live shows as auditions are so heavily edited).”

Of course they are not going to want to be instantly disliked, who would want to be? Its been pretty normal for new judges of any talent show to be this way, and find their way into a comfortable role. I recall i few times in the auditions I saw when Steven was quite direct with people, who were big fans of his, that he thought they werent good enough- didnt make him seem overly nice to me but just honest.

From what I heard last week, they were pretty fair and told the ones who particulary did quite badly what they thought and praised others, are they supposed to criticise people just for the sake of making an entertainment show?
