Yes I have to agree. in fact when he was singing last night I thought how he was moving his eyes looked a bit weird.

The ones that I've really liked were the three girls. Can't remember their names though. One sang without any music to start with (think she's 15), the girl that sang with Spanish in it and the girl at the end that sang Stand by You.

They were really good.

I haven't warmed to any of the boys yet.

Loving the judges though. It's just so much more relaxed and not waiting for the inevitable from Simon 'that wasn't good - that was excellent' or some other stupid thing.

I'm pretty happy with the results. 8 of what would have been my top 10 got through to the actual top 10. I personally thought Kendra was better than the other two girls put through as wild cards. Ashthon is clearly a very good singer but because she was trying so hard I found here a little shouty in both performances. Naima I just found dull.

The girls were certainly better than the boys. I was particularly pleased to see Haley go through - it was the only time I really disagreed with Randys comments. Paul getting through was another pleasant surprise - I wouldn't have thought he'd be a vote winner.

Of the boys Clint was unlucky but it was clear from the wildcard picks they wanted to put one balladeer through - they would have been competing for the same voters. They may have looked at the votes before selecting the wild cards. Why pick someone who sang well but still didn't get anywhere near enough votes? I wonder if Hollywood week was Clints undoing. Can't say I'll be sad to see the back of those specs.

Anyway it seems like a nice group with a lot of talent and variety.

It's not just the OTT thing but I don't like the songs he picks. So old fashioned and seen it all before. Need something fresh.

Maybe a bit, but I accept that when she was good she was really good. The problem was that she was inconsistent, and when she was bad...she sounded amateurish to me.

i liked brett as he was something a bit different, but on the whole i dont think he was in the same league as the others and i dont think the hair tossing did him any favours, as much as i found it funny i think he was a little too effiminate for the us public

Karen, Pia and Tia I think. I loved those 3, I also adore Lauren. I like the girls better than than the boys. I find Casey funny but have not got into him as singer yet.

I totally agree about Simon, I can't stand the man, I think sense he left the show, it has become more natural and hart felt.

However if Jennifer and Steven continue to perform like they did on the last couple of nights. The whole judging side of Idol would not be worth watching.

Don't get me started on that moron Randy. I don't understand how this guy gets paid to judge someone else.

On the whole pretty happy with the top 13. Would have liked Tim (my prediction of him winning didn't come fruitful obviously) and Lauren to get a chance in the wildcard over Jovany, Kendra, and Robbie, but other than that I'm pretty happy. I don't like Ashthon one bit, but she can certainly sing.

From the 13, I'm pretty much a fan of them all, particularly Naima, Casey, Pia and James who I didn't really rate before. Not too keen on Ashthon, Thia and Jacob - yes he can sing, but the OTT facial expressions and to unfortunately quote Mr Cowell, he is the least "relevant" of the entire group.

Here's what I thought of the girls

Tatynisa - A bad choice of song and too shouty. A shame because she looks so cute.

Naima - I think they like her because of her look - I want her to be better than she is, but I'm not sure she will ever deliver a stand out performance.

Kendra - Sometimes her voice sounds really squeaky? She is a good singer though, should have got a wild card.

Rachel - I thought she looked so much better compared to that awful avril lavigne get up she had on during top 24 picks. But she seems to have a bit of an attitude and I didn't know the song, not surprised she didn't go through.

Karen - Great performance but not my thing.

Lauren - Poor Lauren. I really like her but i don't think she's cute or sexy or chavvy or country enough to get a good fan base, which is shame. Should have at least got to sing for a wild card.

Ashton - I felt she was a bit too confident and her JH song was boring I thought - they told off Julie for comparing herself to KC (by picking the song), Ashton was hardly as good as JH, IMHO.

Julie - Someone on here mentioned her seeming like a plant. Obviously thats not the case lol but there was something sort of perfect and irritating about her, plus her breakaway was crap. I hate that song.

Haley Reinhart – Harsh comments from Randy, she seems a bit annoying but at least it was engaging.

Thia Megia – A good performance, I think young girls will really like her, although I find her a little bit boring

Lauren - I didn't like her from auditions but this was good. However, I must take issue with her manicure. Gluing massive white tips onto tiny nail beds looks silly.

Pia - Did really well and seems to have lots of support.

Overall I am pleased with the top 13, and who was it who said Scotty looks like George Bush? It's so distracting, poor child.

So happy for Pia, but annoyed ITV2 cut out Steven's comment to her
"You know after Monday and Tuesday even a week says WTF" lol

Yes, I'm disappointed about Tim too - I think he was stitched up (as was the black guy Jordan) by not being advised to choose a better song.

Only just caught up on last week's girls/results show - have to say the whole thing was fantastic and full of drama, almost certainly the first time ever on AI the results show hasn't dragged...

I really believe that after the performances four of the girls were nailed on for the final, Lauren A and Pia were just outstanding and I love what Thia and Karen did with their songs, I find them both really likeable too.

The only one I wouldn't have put through was Haley, she can sing but I just find her too mannered.

I was really shocked that Laren T didn't get a WC shot after her performance. I certainly don't rate either of the girls that did get through, Ashton's like a semi-decent tribute act and Naima's got nothing interesting at all about her voice. The cynical part of me thinks the producers wanted to address the hispanic/black balance - neither has the remotest chance of getting anywhere near the finals.

Stefano's sing-off was as good as his first song was bland, one of the best performances of the whole week. I think he could still be a dark horse with the right siong choices...

I was surprised that Lauren T was not in the top 5 - and even more surprised that she was not a wild card. Of the three girls who sang as WCs Kendra was IMO most interesting - Ashthon is not as good as she thinks she is and Naima is too cabaret.

I had thought Stefano would be in the top 5, so was pleased he came through as a WC.

The judges are too soft - I know Simon went over the top from time to time, but I usually agreed with his "reality check" comments.

It will be interesting to see whether the American public goes along with the WCs or votes them out at the earliest opportunity.

The voting figures are much higher than last season, which had 24m votes in the opening show, compared to 40m this time.

I think Lauren Turner was robbed of a place in the live shows. No way was Naima more deserving.

I think her omission had more to do with image than vocals....
