Recorders
I have rcently bought a new TV that has the digi thing in it. (As you can guess not up with modern tech stuff!)
Now I want to get a new recorder as at the mo' am using the digi recorder from my bedroom Tv - which needs the digi extra. - Hope you are following me!!... ![]() Trouble is that the actual working of the recording device is not available to view before buying. The one I had was a Panasonic and had a really clear EPG and the recording and deleting system was soo easy and clear. This one, which I want to put back in the bedroom anyway, is a Sharps and is the pits in the usage field! Can't wait to replace it. Where can I go to see before buying? Any suggestions please? |

If you google the name of the box, and add "review", then a lot of reviews show you what the EPG looks like and ease of use etc.
![]() If you are just wanting a Freeview+ PVR, with dual tuner, series record and pause and rewind live TV, then there are a host of fairly cheap reliable ones out there. If you are after an HD PVR, then you have to choose more carefully IMO. |

Many of the "decent" makes have the manuals available online. Which could give you a feel for how it works.

Stores like John Lewis will let you fiddle with their display models.
