mine,
jumping in the fridge when you open it.

using the litter tray when your are just about to eat your tea.

in the daytime sometimes i have a headache so i go to my bedroom for a lie down, the cat is curled up in a ball fast asleep downstairs on the couch, soon as i lie down its outside my door meowing and scratching.

when i get up to go the toilet in the early hours of the morning the cat sneaks in my room and hides under my bed, i get back in my bed and the moment i'm just about to doze back to sleep it runs like a rocket from underneath my bed and frightens the life out of me.

When we lived in London we had a first floor maisonette, the cat had two catflaps one at the bottom of the stairs and one
at the top of the stairs, he could of course use both doors with ease.

His trick was to yowl in the garden ( and he could keep it up for hours) until I went down the back stairs to open the back door (which involved me unlocking the kitchen door, going down badly lit back stairs where the Spiders lived, and unlocking the back door) he would then sit and wash himself for a few minutes then disappear over next doors wall

As soon as I got back up stairs I could hear him yowling his little furry head off, and so it went on ad infinatum.

Now we live in a house he doesnt do it, worked out that all I need to do is to open the door so its not as much fun.

The other thing is that like all cats he moves where he wants to sleep on a weekly basis.

Once it was my chair he wanted to sleep on and got a bit miffed when he got hoiked off it, he KNOWS he is not allowed on the coffee table, so after he got thrown of my chair he jumped on the coffee table, as soon as I got up to throw him off he jumped off ran round the other side of the table and jumped into my chair.

Oh and coming in soaking wet sitting on my lap and shaking himself

The things that annoy me about our older cat are the things other people think are really good - like the fact that she never goes to the toilet outside. She will be outside, come in to use her litter tray then go out again. I hate dealing with the litter tray, I wish she'd use the neighbours gardens

She also talks all day and follows me around, whatever I'm doing she provides a non-stop commentary of meows, chirrups and weird yodelling noises. She also mimics the computers beeping noises when it starts up and the microwave when it bings. Other people find it really charming but they don't have to live with it! She's only properly quiet when she's asleep.

This thread made me laugh, you need to be a cat-owner to understand what the're like.

Mines likes to sit where-ever I've just left and goes into a huff because he thinks it was his seat in the first place and loves to run up and down the stairs at 4 in the morning... above my neighbours bedroom

Using the litter tray literally right after watching me empty it. Every time without fail.

Not wiping her paws on the mat when she comes in, and then climbing on me and my nice cream-coloured sofa.

My cat's sort of agoraphobic as well, so she'll go out whenever the door is open and hang around in the garden, then when the door is shut she'll howl very loudly until she's let in. If we left her out there for more than ten minutes alone you'd hear a series of thuds at the door. That'd be her head, as she hurls herself at it. We have to let her in to save her from any injury!

The only thing that mine does, that slightly annoys me is, when i'm trying to change the bedding. I will only get as far as putting the sheet on, before she decides to jump up for a nap, and she has some kind of control over me, in that i don't have the heart to shoo her off, so i can finish the rest. I then wait until she gets back up.

LOL - know what you mean when it's comming near too his tea one of my cats will jump up onto my desk and sit right in front of my computer screen and won't budge untill he gets fed.My other cat loves to destroy my jigsaw, which is very annoying when your nearly finished it and your cat has reduced it to a pile of brocken pieces.

even worse if they have been out for several hours and then decide to do a poo the moment they come in.

opening the back door letting himself in and not just opening it a little bit, but opening it enough to squeeze through then head butting it wide open and coming in and settling down for a nice comfy sleep on the sofa we have to make sure the door is locked now if hes out and we are not in the kitchen to make sure the door gets shut after he comes in.

Yep mine does all that too! Except for the jigsaw thing. When I'm doing a jigsaw my Flo will carefully choose one specific piece (it has to be THAT one, cos she'll spend ages carefully unpicking it with her paw), then she jumps off the table with it in her mouth - when I see her I'll retrieve it unharmed, but she must do it when I'm not looking too as I've often found a piece missing right at the end, then after days of searching I'll find it under a rug or down the side of a chair, all chewed up, grrrrrr !!!!!

The other thing she does is when I'm on the phone chatting, she'll start charging around the house like a mad thing, sending rugs flying, and knocking things over, jumping over my shoulder and miaowing in my face as she passes, just to get my attention. She's like a naughty toddler!

My cat Schrody when I was a kid used to have lots of annoying habits!

She used to sit on the middle of the paper if you were sat on the floor trying to read it and start washing.

She wasn't allowed upstairs but she cottoned on to the fact that she could climb into the house via the bathroom window. She knew she wasn't allowed to but she did it all the time and all the time I'd be having one ear listening out for her so I could pretend to my Dad that she'd come in through the backdoor. Then I'd have to quickly wash muddy paw prints off the bath! I was always covering for her!

My cat likes to wake me up at 4 in the morning by pawing at the window in my bedroom and then charging at it.

I have to pick her up and give her a little stroke whilst still half asleep before she settles down! I don't understand why she doesn't just climb on the bed in the first place if all she wants is a stroke.

I have a pair of red pj bottoms that if I'm not careful when wearing them she will appear out of no where charge at me when I am not looking and attach herself to the trousers - she has been know to pull them down too

I managed to walk from my bedroom into the living room this morning, with Toby, (my black cat) firmly attached to the belt dragging on the floor.

He thought it was a great game.

My cat is old and doesn't really do much but sleep and she doesn't even walk around the house any more but stays in the kitchen all the time. She thinks the laundry basket is her bed though and is always snoozing in it. Our clothes always have cat hair on tnem lol.

Mine cling onto the duvet for dear life when I try and get into bed. They seem to be under the impression that the bed is theirs and theirs alone, despite there being numerous cosy catbeds sited next to radiators around the house.

Pumpkin is a proper lazy little tyke - he likes nothing more than to ride round on the back of my wheelchair, and wind himself round my neck. Especially annoying if you are trying to clean your teeth, and a long black tail flaps in the way.

My cat is 'clingy' and meows all day long. It also likes to ensure the household is up and about no later than 6am!

Making the bed soaking wet and little muddy paw prints all over the sheets and duvet cover.

Never let an outdoor cat go to bed with you.

One of our cats is a good boy except when he brings us "presents" in for us to find in the morning..

The other cat miss billie is an angel a very mental little lady tho..doesnt really go out much and scared of many things.

But the most affectionate cat i have ever known..even when she wakes us up in the middle of the night for kisses and cuddles..she will head butt us til we wake up and give her our full time love..lol

Great Thread. This could take hours so i wont name them all.

He stand near areas that he can't get to like the loft or big drawers and meows at top note for ages.

He follows me everywhere i go.

He thinks me running up the stairs is a game and races me up and claws me at the top.

He sits on my laptop when i'm using it and stands infront of the tv when i'm watching it.

He mithers and mithers for food then when i give it him he doesn't eat it.

Whatever i am eating he MUST have some wether he likes it or not.

He gets spooked every now and again and runs around the house like a nutter screaming and jumping up walls.

Wakes me up by clawing my feet at the bottom of the bed, if this doesn't work he gets on the bed and bites my nose.

He thinks his litter is a game and empties every last bit out of it onto the floor.

He tries burying his food with anything close by (underwear, tea towels, shoes, cat litter) and i have no idea why, i'm not gonna eat it.

He climbs on tables, fireplaces etc and bats everything off onto the floor with his paws.

If i ever leave a tv mag on the floor i will find it the next morning in a thousand shreds.

If i get up off the couch for litterally 20 seconds, when i return he has stolen my spot and is already curled up fast asleep (or he's pretending to so i don't move him)

My cat likes to jump on me in the middle of the night and hit me on the nose with her paw. She's bitten me on the nose before and it hurt so bad!

Our cat likes to mieow to be let out either the front or back door and when you open it, she will stand there for ages in the doorway neiher in nor out letting all the cold air in.

If she wants food and I'm not budging she will jump onto the kitchen sink, safe in the knowledge that this will shift me from the sofa to the kitchen where she then gets fed.

Asking for food and then turning her nose up at it when I put it in her bowl.

Mainly during moulting time, any coat or jumper left inadvertently on a sofa will sudenly become a cat blanket.

She is still lovely though

Nothing I adore her.

She does play with my hairbands though. That's a bit annoying when I can't find one. Then I look at her little face and I don't mind.
