Yes, mine does that

And not just when I've got guests.

She'll do it when I'm having my tea.

I had a nurse come out to visit me yesterday. I thought the cat was asleep. Nope, she woke up as soon as the nurse arrived and decided to be uber-friendly, pawed her, climbed on her lap, then proceeded to lick her nether regions intensely whilst perched on her lap. I was so embarrassed!

Mine can open the interior doors in the house - but has never learned to close them behind him!

Lol at these.

Mine do quite a few of the above too.

However the most annoying has to be the pestering of me for food non stop until i feed them. When I mean pester, I mean a full on assault. My toes come off worst if they are kept waiting too long.

My male cat loves attention and hates it when he's ignored. If you do ignore him, he'll pull al the dvd's off the shelf and onto the floor, go into the kitchen, open up the cupboards and proceed to empty their contents out too.

I wouldn't change them for the world though.

Hehe this thread has made me laugh!

My cats always drink out of the glasses on the kitchen table, they seem to never drink out of their own bowl!

They also both sleep on the foot of the bed or sometimes sleep beside us and therefore I have to be motionless for the whole night!

Helen, the Tripod of Evilness wakes people up by sleeping on their heads.

She woke me up the other week - I was fast asleep, doing her no harm whatsoever - by literally clawing my eyeball. She does stuff like that for a laugh. Hence the name.

LOL - mine's not quite the same Milley, get's up onto the roof of the garden shed she's done that many times yet still hasn't quite worked out how to get back down eventualy she realises you get down the same way you got up.

another annoying habit of my other cat Murphy, is when he jumps up onto the table and sits right on top of the newspaper I'm reading.

Jumping on my laptop and scratching my sofa. My oldest complete ruined a nice leather sofa when he was a kitten little sod.

Splodge - our eldest cat - is the reason I don't take the cat bowls and just leave them in situ on the floor while I feed them. She HAS to eat as soon as the slightest bit of food touches her bowl and used to jump up on the side and knock the bowl off while I was trying to fill it in her eagerness to eat. Even now, she starts eating instantly and has the audacity to growl at me as I'm trying to spoon the rest into the bowl.

Kumal - our middle cat - is in and out of our bedroom every five minutes when we're trying to get to sleep. she can push the door open from fully closed but she just comes in looks to see if we're asleep yet, and walks back out again. She doesn't want attention, she just wants to make me keep getting out of bed to shut the door again.

Frodo - our baby kitty - now this is my own fault as I've spoilt her rotten as I had to hand rear her when Spoldge got mastitis and Frodo was the only survivor out of a litter of four as the others had drank infected milk . She doesn't want anything to do with us during the day, even just stroking her earns a look of total disgust. But as soon as I go up to bed she's following me everywhere (I check on both the kids before I go to bed myself). Once I'm in bed I HAVE to fuss her for at least 10 minutes before I try to read my book or she'll either sit right in front of my book so I'm breathing her fur or keep scratching my fingers til I lay the book down to look at her and then she'll sit on it.

I think the worst thing is that they gang up on me if I'm in the house on my own with the kids in bed. All three of them sit at the bottom of the stairs staring up them as if there's something terrifyingly hideous up there until I'm convinced someone's broken in. Then, as soon as I get up to look, they all run off in various directions like a scattering group of naughty teenagers!

I love them all to bits though!

Lol my youngest does this alot, he'll meow like mad then the bowl is down he'll look at it then look at me as if to go "wtf is this?" then walk off in a sulk, despite the fact hes eaten the same flavour a million times before.

In combination, my 4 drive me bonkers with the going out/coming in thing.

One wants to go out, so I unlock the door, let her out then lock the door.

Turn round, another one has appeared who suddenly wants to go out. So - unlock the door, let cat out and lock the door.

Repeat twice more.

When all cats out, time for first cat to decide to come in again.....(except that whenyou open the door, cat then looks at you as if you're bonkers and walks away, only to be there again next time you look! )

etc.etc.

Why can they not get organised and all go out/in at one time???

Wouldn't be without them though!

- shitting in the bath
- deciding to take a shit everytime I sit down to eat a meal
- sticking their claws in my knee caps when I stroke them
- nagging for stuff they don't actually want - 'I wanna play in this box! gimme this box, gimme, gimme, gimme!' (scratching franticly at a cardboard box), so you put the box down for 'em, maybe even cut a little door out for 'em so they can have a game of tear my paw off with each other...but nah, don't want the box now.

I was lying in bed about half an hour ago. Me and the little Grump having a snooze. Postman rings the bell to deliver a parcel. She leaps off the bed, I get up and put on my dressing gown and then have to try to get downstairs with her running just in front of me with me shouting "Get out of the way!!!" The odd thing is, that if we are downstairs and the doorbell rings, she legs it upstairs, but if we are upstairs, she runs down in front of me, but at a really annoying pace.

Mine like to paw my face in the morning to wake me up - claws retracted of course -and will pull back the covers if I try to hide underneath (not gone so far with the basball bat yet though)

Ha ha.... yes we have very loud road works, when ours wants food! Digging the arm of the sofa with his bare paws, and drilling in my face until I relent!

Chewing on any plastic wrapping that happens to fall on the floor (which makes a god awful noise that goes right through me)

As other's have said, having a crap just as I sit down to eat.

Jumping up and pulling things of my pinboard in the hallway.

Meowing to be let into my room, then meowing to be let out 10 seconds later.

Sleeping on my side/shoulder when I'm cureld up in bed then being very put out if I decide to roll over.

Getting behind my bookcase and pulling stuff off the top of it from behind.

Jumping in the empty bath when I go to the loo then refusing to get out.

Of course, I love her all the same and most of those make me laugh aswell as being slightly annoying.

He sits on my laptop when i'm using it and stands infront of the tv when i'm watching it.

He mithers and mithers for food then when i give it him he doesn't eat it.

Whatever i am eating he MUST have some wether he likes it or not.

He gets spooked every now and again and runs around the house like a nutter screaming and jumping up walls.

Wakes me up by clawing my feet at the bottom of the bed, if this doesn't work he gets on the bed and bites my nose.

He thinks his litter is a game and empties every last bit out of it onto the floor.

He tries burying his food with anything close by (underwear, tea towels, shoes, cat litter) and i have no idea why, i'm not gonna eat it.

He climbs on tables, fireplaces etc and bats everything off onto the floor with his paws.

If i ever leave a tv mag on the floor i will find it the next morning in a thousand shreds.

If i get up off the couch for litterally 20 seconds, when i return he has stolen my spot and is already curled up fast asleep (or he's pretending to so i don't move him)”

LOL I loved this post this sounds like a combination of my 2!

My cat does that as well, she comes to us for food when she knows it's not time and when we don't give her any she goes and does a really smelly dump in the litter tray as revenge for us ignoring her. She then goes and sits on the window sill and stares at us whilst wiping her bumb on the window sill,

i hate when my cats look as though they can see a mad man with an axe behind me, and it makes me really scared, but in reality its just a bit of dust floating in the air, or a shadow moving...

and i fall for it everytime!

Cats are funny. My mum's one in the Caribbean tries to drink anything we put down on the table, even tea!!! He totally follows my sister everywhere in the house.

usually Murphy, will jump up over the garden gate but every now and then he'll sit at the back door to be let in only for him to walk straight to the front door to be let out. His another rather annoying habit is he'll sit by the door to be let out you open the door and he'll just sit there for a minute or two before he decides that he wants to go he dose exactly the same when you open the door to let him in.
