Splodge - our eldest cat - is the reason I don't take the cat bowls and just leave them in situ on the floor while I feed them. She HAS to eat as soon as the slightest bit of food touches her bowl and used to jump up on the side and knock the bowl off while I was trying to fill it in her eagerness to eat. Even now, she starts eating instantly and has the audacity to growl at me as I'm trying to spoon the rest into the bowl.
Kumal - our middle cat - is in and out of our bedroom every five minutes when we're trying to get to sleep. she can push the door open from fully closed but she just comes in looks to see if we're asleep yet, and walks back out again. She doesn't want attention, she just wants to make me keep getting out of bed to shut the door again.
Frodo - our baby kitty - now this is my own fault as I've spoilt her rotten as I had to hand rear her when Spoldge got mastitis and Frodo was the only survivor out of a litter of four as the others had drank infected milk

. She doesn't want anything to do with us during the day, even just stroking her earns a look of total disgust. But as soon as I go up to bed she's following me everywhere (I check on both the kids before I go to bed myself). Once I'm in bed I HAVE to fuss her for at least 10 minutes before I try to read my book or she'll either sit right in front of my book so I'm breathing her fur or keep scratching my fingers til I lay the book down to look at her and then she'll sit on it.
I think the worst thing is that they gang up on me if I'm in the house on my own with the kids in bed. All three of them sit at the bottom of the stairs staring up them as if there's something terrifyingly hideous up there until I'm convinced someone's broken in. Then, as soon as I get up to look, they all run off in various directions like a scattering group of naughty teenagers!
I love them all to bits though!
