Nope. He didn't tell his University he was going on BB.
He plans to take the resits (in September, I think), but will be automatically marked down by a certain amount.

He said recently that he would do the resits but can you do "resits" if you havent done them once already or does the term resit not need to be taken so literally ???

My head is already hung in shame.
I got the old 'photo album out, it contains many shots of me and my mother at various monuments and other things historical. She went to a great deal of trouble to make sure that I knew my Scottish side. She also sent me to Scotland every year for the whole long summer holiday. This could have been more to do with what a dreadful child I was. I loved it especially with the disreputable family in Glasgow who took me to The Eight O' Clock Shows and let me run riot in the streets and gorge on unsuitable food and drink. The respectable side took me to the Kelvin Hall and the Art Gallery and other sensible places, fed me sensibly and put me to bed early. Happy days!

Jason: "Did he come to any of your gigs Dan?"
Dan: "Who, Meatloaf?!? Yeah, he's been to a couple... "
Jason: "I heard he quite liked Hull..."
Dan: "I think we're a bit too 'rocky' for him. A bit hardcore. *nods seriously* "

So after trolling off and going AWOL and getting his uni into the papers with accounts of his shenanigans with the scouse slattern he just drifts back in and assumes that there will be special arrangements for him to re-sit. You are usually only allowed to re-sit a paper that you have already sat and failed and not ones that you couldn't be bothered to sit in the first place. Or have university standards also gone down the proverbial tubes?

Jason's thought of the 'double or nothing' idea for the task.

Yes with The Logan Family. Remember it well. Annie Logan the jazz singer was one of them.

I wondered about that as well and posed the question above ...The term "resit" does suggest that you have sat the exams previously

I'm not sure how it works (I turned up for all mine!), the records may just mark absentees as 'failed' (since he would have been entered for the exams), so he would be able to resit.
That's what he seems to be thinking, anyway.
He wouldn't need special arrangements per se, as he would be doing the paper with others who failed the first time, so they may let him do it...
As I said though, he'll get a percentage lopped off his final mark.

Sounds like it could be full of dust - have you tried taking the top off to have a look?
