Astonishing X Men - 36
Resident Weevil
05-03-2011
I'm sorry, but has anyone seen that pile of c%&p masquerading as Astonishing X Men 36

I cannot believe that it takes them about four or five months to produce / release each issue.

The Artwork is just terrible, i have to be honest i've not read it, that speaks for itself really, in the old days i would be reading the comic on the bus going home from the shops, and now i'm buying it just out of habit.

It's a shame because the series started out so well when Joss Wheedon was on it...........

When Warren Ellis took over the title... it dropped to the bottom of my reading list... I am yet to like any X-Book work done by Ellis.

I thought Ellis did a good job on the title (and with the Xenogenesis mini that brought back some old Alan Moore/Jamie Delano characters from the Capt. Britain days) but the latest incumbent is Daniel Way who is hit and miss from what I've read of his other X-title work...

Having said that, sure, all writers are hit and miss but I thought it was more of a risk giving a premium title to him considering who has already worked on it. They build up the reputation and then give it to a second stringer...
