Having recently purchased the sony BDP 370 player which i am pleased with i heard on the sony forums that 4od and itv player were coming does anyone have any ideas when?thanks.

If it's coming it will simply appear when it does, it would be unusual for them to try and predict when that might be. All you would get is loads of complaints if it didn't appear on that day, best not to try and make predictions.

Sometimes we get 'inside information' from within Sony, but it's rarely worth passing on - anything before an official announcement is only liable to have a low chance of actually happening.
In order to give an accurate release date, it all has to be completed, tested, and fully working - it's no good the team doing the software saying it will 'probably be ready in two weeks' - software writing doesn't go that easily.
