I recently received a text while travelling by train that I know was from my sister as she confirmed that she had sent one. However it was unreadable with the sender id as 88850100000008.
I know when a friend sent me a picture that my phone is not set up to receive I had what was probably the same number come up.
Do you think the fact I was in and out of signal caused it to get scrambled ???
Many thanks Jay

as you were on a train it is likely that the data stream containing the message was missing some info and the phone "gave you what it had"
