TV LINK (TVEye) problem
I have recently upgraded my SKY+HD box – model DRX890. I linked my sky box to my bedroom tv, via a tvLink (TVEye) and a coax cable system, but I have found that I cannot change the channels on the sky remote in the bedroom any more, since upgrading the box.
This worked fine with my previous sky+HD box. Also noticed that the light is not showing on the TVLink box that goes into back of the television. I also tried it on a another tv and also tried with a spare TV eye connector, it still would not interact with sky box, but I do get a signal ie TV channels from other room into my bedroom…just can’t change the channels on the skyHD box Does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps there is a better way of linking and changing channels etc. IE better cabling or wireless etc thanks for any help simon |

Google some instructions for TV links........make sure your box is powered off before connecting/disconnecting eyes...check you have the voltage switched on (box settings/Google instructions)... check you are plugged in to RF2 and not RF1

I have a similiar problem. Sometimes the TV link works sometimes it doesn't, so I assume the connections are OK and there is a red light showing on it.

If it's intermittent then the first thing to have a look at the aerial plugs you put on. If there's a single wisp of shield wire touching the centre core then the eye won't work.

Thanks for that. Remade all the connections and replaced a dodgy looking coupler and all seems to be OK now.
