Does anyone recognize the following fault which I have on one of my Humax 9200 machines.

Everything works as it should with regard to making recordings.
However, sometimes the list of recorded programs shows the incorrect Title of the program recorded. This can manifest itself as 3 different recordings showing the same title. Deleting the oldest can then cause the titles in the remaining two to change to the correct title or something else, and on occasion the remaining recordings will then show the green incomplete tag and refuse to play.

It seems to be something getting corrupted.

Any ideas or possible solutions welcome?

Well known problem; the file system is corrupt. Watch or download any important recordings then format the drive from the HDD Control menu.

Thanks, Martin. I have done that in the past and the problem goes away for a while but always returns. Is there any knowledge on what causes the corruption?

Lots of theories but nothing that has been proved. My guess is that there is more than one mechanism. How long is it between reformats before this happens to you? We have seen this problem about three times over five years and the last time was at least two years ago.

My parents have had the same thing a couple of times but a factory reset has sorted it each time without resorting to a full HDD format.
