Digital Camcorder Advice - What have you got??
subversive
07-03-2011
Hi,

As well as asking for advice on a digital camera (another thread), I also need some advice on a good all round camcorder.

My old camcorder was a Panasonic NV-GS300EB.

This camcorder was great, I liked the fact it took MiniDV's.

So, Which camcorder is a good buy. I think buying one with a built in hard drive will be better than buying on without and forking out money for a suitable SD Card.

I am inclined towards a Panasonic, but I will consider other makes.

My budget is around, well if I can find one that matches the video quality of my old panny gs 300, then it would probably be around £500.

Just thought I'd give you guys an update.

I'll be ordering a 1/4.1" MOS Panasonic HS60, comes with a built in 120GB HD, should be enough, gives 5 hours on full HD recordering. 1080p that is.

Its got good reviews, so at £400 should be cool. Seen some good test videos from users around the world, there is one done in full HD, which looks nice.

I would like the HS700, but at double the price of this, I have to stop myself. lol. But that is a powerful camera, 3 MOS sensor, giving a total of around 9mega pixels, which gives you some amazing quality video.
