I think it was broken and the fix wasn't very good.

Yep working now, all clean, but it still didnt recieve anything untill 5pm, still moody little rat-bag! now the hubby and boy are watch in Jackie Chan, so I have been here at the computer most of the day and night. Cheers, I was going to bed, maybe I'll stay up for a while, what time does CH4 switch to their live feed, so I can watch it in bed?

It still sounds like your digibox is overheating - make sure the airflow round the thing's good (not inside a closed cabinet, lots of space underneath etc.)

You can see Jupiter and Saturn with the naked eye too - an average pair of binoculars lets you see the 4 largest moons round Jupiter, too.
