Pioneer DVR-440HX
Hi, I have had the above mentioned box for about 2 years now and everything works fine except the pause, rewind live TV function. When i try to use this it just says something like ''this operation cannot be carried out at this time''. Anyone know what to do with it..

I have the older model 420H and if I want to do this I just start an instant recording and then chase-play that. Is there a Power Saving mode on your model which needs to be turned off to allow pausing of live TV? Edit: Just found this caveat in the user manual Quote:
Pause Live TV only works with the built-in A.TV (analog) tuner. It does not work with the D.TV tuner or the external inputs.

Recently bought a 2nd hand one of these and am quite pleased with it generally.
It regularly switches itself on and shows 'update' in the display then switches off again after 10 mins usually. Today however it has been showing 'update' all day!!! Should I just let it continue or might it need a kick? Sorry I mean or should I pull the plug on it.

Well 24 hours later and the thing still says 'update'. Decided it was time to pull the plug and reboot it. Came back on OK.
