I have the above MP3 Player and have XP on our pc and have been trying to sync the player with Napster but for some reason when i plug the player into the pc it does not pick it up nor does Napster.

So how can i get the pc and Napster to pick it up as cant do anything with it on Napster and its not a Napster problem.

Any advice please.

Can you sync it in WMP? And does it not appear in My Computer?
When you plug it in a USB port does it charge?

I'm on Windows 7 now, and my Creative Zen XiFi is just plug and play. I used it successfully with XP before this, and don't remember having to put any drivers in?

Interface is standard usb mass storage or the standard windows portable device mtp driver. Either way you probably have to manually install it if your system is messed up somehow, it shoulda detected it. Its standard interface now, no unique drivers necessary.

We had to put in the CD that came with the player and load that into the pc and its now working but i have another problem with another player.

The player we are now having problems with is a Philips Vibe and after we take the player out of pc after downloading music from napster the music plays all ok but then when we plug it back into Napster to put more music on a error message comes up on napster saying

we were unable to read the clock on your device so then it wont play anything and just comes up with message on player saying the media rights have ran out but they have not so we have to format the player(we lose all songs) and re do the clock and date as it seems to not keep the time or date.

We have had Vibes before and had the same problem.

the pc picks up the player so no problem at that end and also napster picks it up as well.
