With the patter of little feet getting closer and closer I am having to sell quite a few of my mobiles. .I have decided to sell either my Desire HD or my Samsung Galaxy S. They are both very good phones, but which one would you keep ? Which one is likely to get more support such as software updates over the next 18 months ?

I'd keep the Desire, apart from the battery life not being the best I don't think you can go wrong with it.

+1 on the desire, gingerbread will be released for it soon, no word as yet for a release fon the samsung, i can tell you that gingerbread rocks my nexus, which is pretty much the same phone inside as the desire, it is faster, has more features and seems to use less power as my nexus stays on longer!

hmmm. Difficult one. I thought long n hard over which to buy and decided on Galaxy S but my tradeoffs were...

4.3 v 4.0 screen size. The DHD felt just a bit too big.
...and the Galaxy S has an Amoled screen made with Gorilla Glass.

Battery, the desire hd sucks more juice but had less reported bugs.
....Battery won here as I don't make much demands apart from a bit of gaming and texting really.

Camera, 8mp with flash v 5mp with no flash.
....Camera wasn't a big deal for me but DHD wins.

RAM... 768 v 512.
.... DHD wins

ROM...
....SGS wins with more built in storage.

Sense v Touchwiz
....Sense wins

htc seem to be more forthcoming with updates than Samsung

Price... 400 v 340

.....340 was enough to spend for me.

I'm more than happy with my Galaxy S but had I your decision to make I'd keep the Desire HD.
