iPhone won't charge
Hi,
My battery ran out on my iphone last night and now it will not charge. It just keeps flashing up with the empty battery alert. I have tried different plugs and chargers and nothing. The phone is 8 months old and this couldn't come at a worse time, I am worried that I will have to buy a new battery and how much this will cost. Anyone got any advice, has this happened to anyone? |

How long have you left it when trying to charge?
Do you have an Apple Store nearby you can take it to? It's within warranty if it's only 8 months old... |

Same question as Matt D: How long have you left it? If you let the battery run down completely, it can sometimes take up to 10 minutes after you plug it in before it springs back to life.

It was dead when I got in last night, I put it on charge and went to bed, expecting it to be full this morning.
I have been reading up on the net and apparently its a common fault. I will be trying a few things but if not apple store in covent garden. Thing is I cant find my receipt, but I can prove when the contract started. This is the last straw to break the camel's back! I cant believe how upset I am over it |

Don't worry about the receipt - the Apple Store will magically (!) know how old it is.
