Anyone else updated their iPad to 4.3 yet?

I've just updated my iPad to iOS 4.3 and have to say I am pretty impressed with the home sharing capability as it works really well and is extremely fast when selecting what music to play. Other than that I've not noticed anything else different really,

Has anyone else updated their iPad and is there anything they've noticed that's any different to before?

I'm glad the screen rotation lock can be on the hard switch again

Yep. Screen rotation lock back where it should be.

Home sharing streams music and video from the Mac, nice.

Safari has had a speed bump, and more interestingly there are much fewer page reloads if you have a few tabs (pages) open. Makes navigating multiple pages much smoother and enjoyable.

A worthy update for that alone.

Apparently Apple added ASLR (address space layout randomisation) to 4.3, which is a security measure, not seen by the end users, but it throws another obstacle in the way of hackers.

Can someone explain the point of home sharing when all of your music is on the ipad or the base computer anyway , don't get it ?

I havent updated as to be honest, mine is hacked at 4.2.1 and I also use iFile for managing the system.
The only thing I was looking forward to was the home streaming, but its only what ever iTunes will let you store. So no avi,mkv files etc.
So, bought Stream To Me (£1.79) app which so far plays everything back, over the network and Splash Top Remote Desktop (£2.99) inorder to connect to the PC so I can turn it off when in bed .
Two cracking programes for about £5.
Though as soon as the 4.3 hacks complete in the next month, will upadate then.

I have about 50Gb of music and hundreds of Gb of movies and tv shows, I can't get them on my iPad, now I and other members of my family can stream them anywhere in the house. With AirVideo I can even use Airplay to watch non-iPad compatible videos on my iPad and Apple TV.

Serious question here, I've a home network, PC's and laptops and we stream files of anykind movie, data, music, its easy peasy, but its not so easy with Apple? iTunes can stop some files streaming?

AirPlay / Home Sharing only streams music, audiobooks, podcasts, movies and TV programmes that are in iTunes. For anything else just use one of third party apps. Air Video is very popular and has been around for quite some time.

I just updated mine ... Bit of a disappointment really, didn't realise that multitouch gestures were taken out of the beta2 ohh well, the only change I can see is the mute switch on the side has the option to be rotation lock. Was always mute for me though as I got my iPad after 4.2 anyway

Anything else that I'm missing or is that the only 'feature' that apple have added

Disappointed

Home sharing is very good if your iPad isn't large enough for your itunes library.

I've noticed a slight improvement in the speed of games.

For example, Geometry Wars: Touch is faster and more fluid as is NOVA.

In Geometry Wars, the Deadline timer counted down from three minutes - except that it actually ran for more like 3.5 minutes. Now, with iOS 4.3 it counts down in 3 minutes exactly.

Because of this, my average scores are constantly lower, for once a welcome side effect of the speed increase.

Anyone else noticed this speed increase?

Damn... functionality like that is not helping my resolve not to buy an iPad..... Mind you Mrs Sniffle says she want one so I can take the morale highground, save my cash and use hers

Is Safari really as faster as touted under 4.3?

I've always found Safari to be pretty fast but I can see even more of an improvement with the update. It is really very fast!

I've only an 8 gig ipod touch. Home sharing is excellent. I wish I could do it on my old 2g ipod touch that I use on my hifi.
